"We finally now have, on display, someone who can cheerfully, confidently, happily articulate conservatism in a charismatic, positive way," Limbaugh said on his radio program last March.

"Somebody who's not afraid of it. Somebody who's not ashamed of it.

Somebody who doesn't see any need to qualify it or to make excuses for it." Rush Limbaugh, Spring 2015

Trump is at 30 percent in the last poll for Alabama, with Jeb at 15. Didn’t see where Cruz was.

Moreover, Cruz's cash was raised in small amounts from many individual donors, a clear sign of deep and wide support cross the nation.
Uh, I'm pretty sure he was at the Koch party with his hand out not long ago. What was that about?

How many of these states are winner take all? Is our team setting up a 1-2 punch, thereby setting up a squeeze play?

Right, I remember when Rush announced on his Radio show how he met with GW Bush before his first run as President and that he was a conservative...He wasn't/isn't

Those also sound like the same (exact?) words he once used to describe Scott Walker...

When those other two leave for whatever reason (Trump isn’t a consistent and trustworthy conservative, and Carson isn’t ready to battle the Democrats or the bureaucracy),

I’m going to start a drinking game for when someone mentions the demise of Trump or when they think he will leave the race. At the rate of these articles over the past eight weeks, I’d be unconscious drunk.

As conservative as he is, his stance on H-1B visas is a huge turn off to me. He wants to increase the visas by 500%. This is just wrong.

American workers are being displaced now by these people. How is this in the best interest of America? It isn’t. His vote for TPA is another thing, he went along with the status quo on this. Only Tom Cotton voted against it.

Doubt Cruz can win Alabama with Jeff Sessions R advising Trump on his immigration plan, which is much different than Cruz support for 500% increase in work visas for foreign workers.

If there were no Trump in the race, that might be the case. I was listening to some educators today bemoaning the number of non-English speaking students in their school. One of them said, “Donald Trump is sounding better and better.”

This thread is almost as much fun as the one the other day from DU about how The Bern was going to Obamanize Hillary just like in 2008. DUmmies were threatening bodily harm against one another on that one.

Of course you have every right to your opinion, and in the months to come we will see if it was the correct one. Until then, the Clint Eastwood theory of opinions holds true, for each of us.

Ted Cruz "will" win in places like Alabama

He will win in places like Alabama.

Both of them.

The crowds that Ted Cruz is getting at his recent campaign stops among this crowed field is truely remarkable.

Frankly I have to challenge whether any of the so called Conservative Professional Politicians in the race have any idea of true understanding of Conservatism, Capitalism or anything else. They mouth the words they know we want to hear but do they have any understanding.

I looked at Ted Cruz's resume last night and I found that in his life he was only in a private law practice one year. The rest of his whole adult working life he has been in government. How can this guy have any understanding of the real issues this country faces if he is a professional politician with no real experience other than government.

That in a nutshell is what is fundamentally wrong with the political system today. People making laws and regulations with absolutely no idea of what they are doing and the consequences if their actions.

Cruzs’ voters are conservatives period. Cruzs’ appeal will not cross over to moderate Rats’, Blacks or any other demographic. Trump however has a far bigger base then just conservatives.
