The FBI is investigating Hillary Clinton's private email server out of of its headquarters in Washington, D.C., in an "unusual move," the New York Times reported.
"Nearly all [FBI] investigations are assigned to one of the bureau’s 56 field offices," according to the Times.
"But given this inquiry’s importance, senior F.B.I. officials have opted to keep it closely held in Washington in the agency’s counterintelligence section, which investigates how national security secrets are handled."
Though Clinton's use of a private email address was not illegal and was permitted by State Department rules, the federal government has standards for how servers are built, how they are secured, and how their data is stored.
The FBI is looking into the configuration of the server that Clinton handed over to authorities.
Clinton has insisted that she never sent or received classified information at the time that it was classified and there has been no evidence that she broke the law.
However, the intelligence community's inspector general Charles McCullough III told Congress last week that he discovered two emails sent to Clinton that contained information classified as "Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information," which the government's highest levels of classification.

It is completely illegal to use unsecured unencrypted servers to pass, transmit or store Top Secret information on. It doesn’t matter how much the press spins it, when she has her day in court, the DA will present the facts
Notice also that this isn’t really concerned with Benghazi, because Benghazi and IRS-gate with Lerner also happened with the complicity of prominent GOPers if not GOP leadership.

We need, to seriously investigate our senators, representative and people in local government and start exposing them and how corrupt they are....start at the bottom and work up....
Did all of her email go through this server? If it did it would be ludicrous to believe that as Secretary of State that she never sent or received classified email.

Another option, very unlikely, but it would be the best scenario:
Career FBI and Intelligence officials are fed up with Hillary’s dangerous games and for once, are doing their job, in defiance of pressure they’re receiving from their superiors.
We can only hope. My trust of the FBI is very limited. The only way I think this will work is if Loretta Lynch wants Hillary in jail, and then nothing will stop them.
Now I am just some dumb shlub who knows not about classified and top secret information.
But in the history of classified and top secret information has there EVER been a case where public information has later been declared classified or top secret AFTER is is known???
I still think nothing is going to come of this. Obama and Lynch going to prosecute Hillary??? HA

I think we’ve crossed into the “it depends on the meaning of the word is is” stage. She just added the word “marked” to the sent or received classified phrase. That is not an accident in lawyer speak.
In a field office the FBI agents who may sometimes work for a living would diregard political pressure and look for the truth. In the DC headquarters, there are very few real agents and mostly the career politcal administrative types. Everything they do is done with a finger held high to see which way the political wind is blowing. Since all of the highest DOJ officials are there looking over their shoulders and they are all regime appointees, this will be a whitewash.
I think Hillary never thought this through. I believe she thought she would get away with this and everything else she has done illegally because no one will challenge her. We have a nation that is made up of people who are cowards. Wimpy police, wimpy prosecutors, wimpy lawyers and really dumb voters.
On the other hand, the networks are funded by corporations who need to make trillions, and they will force the networks to promote candidates that they know will make them trillions.
The FBI is under the control of the top guy. He will order them to find that Hillary broke a minor law. It will be announced in time for the election.
It’s hard to swallow the idea that the corruption in this country is as bad as anywhere else. Always thought the USA was better than all the rest.
