Call me crazy — but I think Steven Forbes would have been a good President.

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

Well I hope they aren't Ivy Leagers.

That's the thing about Trump.
He knows how to find qualified people, and he knows how to delegate.
He's not going to be micromanaging every little totalitarian thing like Obola or Hillary.

And his appointments would (hopefully) be merit based, not because he owes somebody.

I guess he figured he’d better put something realistic together. Forbes and Laffer are flat-taxers. How is he going to square that with his recent statements on a graduated income tax? And again, cutting taxes is half the equation. Cutting spending is as important and so far Trump hasn’t mentione where his cuts would be.
To: moehoward
Absolute merit based, because any poor performance would reflect on him. And he won’t have that.

I wouldn’t imagine he’d be a billionaire if he made them any other way.

I voted for Steve Forbes, two times I think.
To: BenLurkin
I was for Forbes in 1996 before he dropped out.

He can start by cutting the IRS down to a tiny highly computerized operation. Then turn the EPA over to the states.

(I know that's not what you meant.)
Anyway this indeed does sound promising. Hopefully it's a correct to what he said yesterday about rejecting supply-side.
