Jeb Bush gets the Bernie Sanders treatment and is forced to abandon rally early after activists start chanting 'Black Lives Matter' Former governor of Florida was holding a town hall meeting in Las Vegas After answering the question, an advocate began chanting the slogan He quickly left without making a final statement or meeting the audience
Republican presidential hopeful Jeb Bush has been forced to abandon a rally early because of a protest from Black Lives Matter.
The former governor of Florida was in Las Vegas for a town hall meeting on Wednesday when he answered a question on racial inequality.
An advocate in the crowd of around 150 then started to chant their slogan, so he quickly ended his speech and left the venue without making a final statement or shaking hands with members of the audience.
The music he plays when he walks off stage is heard in the background of a video as the civil rights group keep shouting the mantra. t comes just four days after Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders suffered the same fate because of the group's actions during an appearance in Seattle.
In the past week members have also turned up to one of Hillary Clinton's events.
Bush was asked about the racial disparities in the criminal justice system that have been exaggerated by black men being killed by white police officers.
He said that 'these problems have gotten worse in the last few years' and that communities 'no longer trust the basic institutions in our society that they need to trust,' according to CNN.
The GOP prospect then said 'perception becomes reality, and there really is racism in America'.
Bush has received criticism from the Black Lives Matter movement.
He backed Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley for telling protesters that 'all lives matter.'

Raging mobs with government unable to control them.
150 people?...Bernie gets that in line at the Dunkin Doughnuts. Trump gets that going down the escalator at Trump Tower. Whoa boy...
And with 5% in Iowa....Jeb...boobee...That is a whopping $20 million per point. $100 mil don’t get you what it used to.
((((Sigh)))).... These folks should just give the money to Cruz now...it might be cheaper for them. More bang for the buck. Alas, some never learn.
JEDI
“Stop black murder” - counter chant.
“Stop black murder” - counter chant.
Yeah he invited Medea Benjamin right to the front of the crowd to speak to her face to face about Iran. She apologized for interrupting, said she believed he was a patriot despite being a “war hulk”.
The after effects were interesting. It started an argument on twitter between two factions of code pink. One side angry that they didn’t just continue to scream at him and the other side noticing that he had shown more respect for them than their own friends the democrats do. The democrats just have security remove them when they don’t want them around.
I only see one black person in that photo.
Illegals doing the protest jobs black Americans are unwilling to do?
... you would think that IF black lives mattered, they would be smart enough to twig onto it.....
and quit killing one another
instead of scapegoating whitey for the two that whitey killed.
Yup, where is the uproar?
(”In the 513 days between Trayvon dying, and todays verdict, 11,106 African-Americans have been murdered by other African-Americans.”)
I’d love to see a politician respond, “If you think black lives matter, then tell blacks to stop killing blacks. Add in abortion, and we have genocide by blacks against blacks! So...just stop it!”
Women in Planned Parenthood shirts shouting
“Black Lives Matter”
They don’t see the irony.
Audience members need to chant
“Aborted lives matter,”
And put a stop to this nonsense.
Those t-shirts at your post, supporting SEIU and Planned Parenthood, reveal that they are a Democrat-sponsored Rent-a-Mob.
At past Republican events, the crowd themselves drove the protesters into the arms of the security guards to be escorted out. They covered the protester's shouts with chants of "USA! USA!"
There are several wearing the same shirt. That's how you know they are paid agitators.
That was then. This is now, 8,075,945 civil rights lawsuits later.
Why don't they just issue tickets to people who have donated to republicans in the past. Its not like they don't have us on a list.
The “optics” are assumed to be worse for the candidate who’s security man-handles the protestors.
Supporters that attend his rallies need to develop walking impediments.
a smile and a shrug from the white hut and their dept of justus is all anyone will get from the feds
Don’t they have any firehoses or police dogs to use on those people? ;-)
