Why Trump's flip-flop on Planned Parenthood is so important
American Thinker ^ | 8/11/15 | Newsmachete

Donald Trump, who last week wanted to defund Planned Parenthood, now isn't so sure.

After saying last week it's worth having Congress shut down the federal government unless Planned Parenthood is stripped of its $528 million in government funding, the Republican presidential candidate changed his tune.

Speaking on CNN's "New Day" Tuesday morning, Trump said that before defunding Planned Parenthood entirely, he would look at the positive aspects of the organization.

"I would look at the good aspects of it, and I would also look because I'm sure they do some things properly and good for women. I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also, but we have to take care of women," he said. "The abortion aspect of Planned Parenthood should absolutely not be funded."

I have a question. What if the Islamic State had good health clinics for women, where women could get breast exams, pap smears, and their hair and nails done for free? And what if we could donate to these ISIS clinics and be 100% sure that our money would not go to mass executions or genocide, which is also a hallmark of ISIS? Would it be proper to give money to their women's clinics?

An apt comparison.

PP was founded by one of the most evil women of the 20th Century, if not THE most evil woman of the 20th Century. She was a Eugenicist who wanted to wipe out whole populations. For example, in this 12/10/1939 letter to Charles Gamble, founder of P&G, she discloses:

If you take a look at page 102 of the April, 1933 issue of the Birth Control Review (Sanger's Journal of her Birth Control League which, after the war, morphed into Planned Butcherhood) you will note an interesting article titled, Eugenic Sterilization: An Urgent Need. The doctor was Dr. Ernst Rüdin. In case you're not familar, Dr. Ernst Rüdin was honored by Hitler as being the "pioneer of the racial-hygienic measures of the Third Reich." He was one of the collaborators of Margaret Sanger.

Trump responded last night on Breitbart that there would be no funds for planned parenthood as long as they did abortions.

Cut off all funding if they don't stop abortions

Earlier on CNN he had said..."But we have to take care of women. We have to absolutely take care of women. The abortion aspect of Planned Parenthood should not absolutely – should not be funded. "

That must be a record setting flip flop; ‘cause that certainly isn’t what he was saying (more than once) during his earlier appearances on CNN and on Hannity.

Trump responded last night on Breitbart that there would be no funds for planned parenthood as long as they did abortions.

In other words, he flip flopped. In the period of a day.

This sounds like one of two things:

I'm glad he walked it back. But he can't un-say what he said. Regardless of what an apologist working at Breitbart or an apologist at Free Republic would like to believe.

Since it’s Planned Parenthood that claims they provide so many health services other than abortion, he used that claim against them. Saying that he’s targeting the abortion services and leaving their other women’s health services guts them completely.

Now PP can’t very well backtrack and say “abortions are all we do”, and the feminists can’t accuse him of “war on women” because if the abortion mills are forced to dedicate to health care services alone, he’s likely INCREASED health care available to women. He took lemons, made lemonade and poured it down PP’s throat without sugar. It is strategic brilliance. /Noob opinion.

He’s just making it up as he goes. He has no political philosophy. Which means his celebrated “no political correctness” is just personal rudeness. It’s not in the service of anything conservative. There’s a mountain of evidence that he’d be a centrist President, kowtowing to the power centers in Congress.

My guess is that he’d be about like Bill Clinton in office.

Trump said he’ll do “nice” things like Ronald Reagan and that he will be “flexible.”

“....Conservatives have in recent weeks attacked Trump’s positions on issues such as abortion.

Ronald Reagan was a Democrat and he was sort of liberal,” Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity. “He was a Democrat with a liberal bent and he became a great conservative. … He had something very special. … If you think of it, he was a little bit less conservative than people think, but he had a great heart and I have a great heart.”...

Earlier Tuesday, Trump said on CNN’s “New Day” that he would “look at the good aspects of [Planned Parenthood], and I would look at other aspects also, but we have to take care of women.”....

FTA: “They do good things, I’m talking about defund having to do with the abortion.”
Trump is very like Kerry....accommodation is possible.

‘They’re not offering anyone health care of any kind. “They’re not offering education of any kind,’ he said, addressing the protesters in the room.” Kerry in response to Code Pink protest against United States anti-ISIS funding.

Here is the thing, every other candidate is in favor of some form of legal status for illegals. Some are not for a pathway to citizenship others are. No pathway to citizenship sounds great but it simply will not work. The courts are not going to allow tens of millions living here to be second class citizens. Howls of modern day slavery will fill the airways. And the courts will rule that a pathway to citizenship must be provided. Either that or when the Rats take Congress, and they will at some point time, the Rats will just pass a law granting citizenship.

Only Trump sends the legals back to there home county. If they are not here they don't need legal status. If you want to keep America a constitutional republic Trump is the only choice you have. Let the left legalize 60 million new Marxist voters via amnesty and then chain immigration and the USA as we know it is toast. The 11 million illegals figure is Bull, for 15 years is been 11 million illegals the real number is closer to 30 million then 11 million.

Good post, this is what I suspected because I just don’t trust Trump. That point about Reagan having a long and faithful history as a conservative is a really important point.

Re>That point about Reagan having a long and faithful history as a conservative is a really important point

If Reagan tried to run today many here would be telling us about his liberal background and that he was a registered Democrat and from California. They would deny us one of the BEST Presidents we ever had.
