Exclusive — Cruz: ‘States Should Press Back’ Against EPA
Big Government ^ | 8/10/15 | Michael Patrick Leahy

Posted on 08/10/2015 4:33:25 PM PDT by markomalley

Emerging from an enthusiastic Presidential campaign rally,

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells Breitbart News that “states should press back” against the EPA’s recently announced Carbon Pollution Emission Guidelines for Existing Stationary Sources: Electric Utility Generating Units rule, “with every tool they have available.”

Attorney generals of 16 states said last week the new rule was “illegal in numerous respects.”

“Should states refuse to comply with the EPA coal regulations?” Breitbart News asked Cruz.

“I think states should press back using every tool they have available. We’ve got to rein in a lawless executive that is abusing its power,” Cruz tells Breitbart News.

Fortunately many states are pushing back to some extent but short of an armed confrontation its all lawfare.

Seeing the tragic mistake by the EPA in CO, with millions of gallons of arsenic and lead and other poisons polluting major rivers because of some bureaucrats’ ignorance in punching through a dam inside a mine that had lasted 80 years., do we really want this bunch of stooges controlling our power generation?

Agreed, the power must be returned to the states.

Colorado should lead the way by arresting every one of the EPA workers who released the contaminated water at the gold mine into the local river for violating Colorado’s environmental protection laws. The easiest way to “shutter” the EPA will be to start putting EPA employees into state prisons. There will soon be a shortage of environmental workers willing to work for the EPA.

I’d like to see Ted Cruz or any of the other candidates promise to get rid of the EPA and a whole slew of governmental departments, agencies and bureaus, most of which exist merely to exert federal government power over our daily lives.

Not sure what “press back” means, but individual states should reject the unconstitutional authority of the EPA and ban their interference in their state and protect their people and their businesses from the EPA with the Constitution as the basis for doing so.

At some point, the EPA needs to be NUKED and buries for all time!

Actually the States should just say “ NO, no HELL NO “... we’re not doing it..
And force the feds to push their weight around..

The media circus would be beneficial.. and cause other States to join..
except the north east blue States.. their Communist already..

Each State has their own Military..
Any fed within the State should be aware they will be deported if they break State Law.. and maybe JAILED..

The EPA is becoming a bigger threat than the environmental damage they claim to protect against.

Here in Michigan a mining company wants to build a dedicated road approved by pretty much everybody but the EPA wants truckloads of ore to waste gas on a near 80 mile trip on public roads through little towns etc. The new road would cut the trip to some 20 miles and would be used only by the company.

Shutting down both the EPA and OSHA and letting the states make their own rules in both areas would be a good move for a new president.

The national debt gets bigger by the second and the federal government runs a deficit every year.

This is an emergency and something needs to be done to stop spending money the nation doesn’t have.

Declare an emergency, shut down the agencies.

Disobey any court ruling to keep them open is something the next POTUS may have to contemplate.

HOORAY Ted. How about the republican controlled “checks and balances” CONgre$$ putting the brake$ on some of that executive power, also. It might have better leverage at the executive…er supreme court.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people. /list of grievances

Or, are the PUTRID politicians in congress complicit?

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

DEFUND/DISMANTLE the EPA.
