Were days away from Congress failing to block a deal that will exponentially increase the chances of a nuclear flash over Tel Aviv or New York, and all conservatives could talk about for the past 72 hours was Donald Trumps insult of Megyn Kelly, an insult that caused firebrand pundit Erick Erickson to lapse into Dean of Students mode to ensure that his Red State Gathering was a Safe Space safe from the current GOP frontrunner.
And we wonder why people are deeply alienated from politics? First, lets just tell the truth: Approximately 98 percent of the professional politicians, pundits, and consultants embroiled in the conversation over Trumps comments about Kelly, in which he may or may not have said that her tough questions at Thursdays GOP debate were due to menstruation, are most assuredly not offended or outraged by his words. Quite the opposite: In the political world, there is something like an electric shock of glee that passes through the community when someone says something outrageous. Controversy is energizing. Consultants, candidates, and pundits immediately begin working the angles how can they exploit the latest gaffe, the latest misstatement, the latest offense against decency to advance their candidate or their cause? Outrage is a tool, the means to accomplish the ends of personal and political advancement.
Does anyone seriously think that Erick Erickson a blunt-speaking radio host and pundit last seen urging his supporters to mail fake testicles to John Boehner ... is offended by Trumps statements? (snip)
While the GOP bickers over a journalists reproductive system, the mullahs build their bomb. The weekend is over, its time to get back to business, and business includes stopping the worst international agreement since Munich.

The media won’t deal with the issues!
You weren't paying attention when Ventura ran for MN governor then...
Trump is for Trump. Nothing else. Nothing he says can be trusted outside of that context.
Unite and fight? Damn right. Just do it behind someone who's principles are known and whose policies aren't going to screw us just like the Democrats.
Someone like Cruz for example.
Nonsense. He has exploited the system to his own gain. He has not issued one single policy prescription for many of the ails he has vented about.
What, you aren’t paying attention again? He talks about his policies all the time.
Thank you :-)
.
Trump stands up to no one!
He has done nothing but pay off every liberal Democrap in every jurisdiction he has worked in.
Spineless when it counts, and lays it off as “doing business.”
Have you no shame?
.
Who could seriously trust Trump more than Cruz to nominate strict constructionist Supreme Court justices? Trump will probably nominate someone recommended by one of his attractive female Apprentice contestants.
Yes, they are Bush supporters.
Trump’s prior and current positions deserve scrutiny.
But establishment Republicans have been criticizing him for the WRONG REASONS. No more apologizing. Time to double-down.
Ok, like what...say, health care. I know his plan is AWESOME, but what is it exactly?
So you’d rather nominate the guy who admitted he’s the big daddy donor who owns the politicians?
Cruz is not a “career” politician, no one owns him and he’s not a liar.
btw... I noticed you could not refute one thing on my list. And you can't because it is all true. Donald Trump is a liberal.
Your career politicians have DONE nothing conservative, All they’ve done is just help to pass the anti-American Obama agenda of Obama trade that is trojan horse for unrestricted 3rd world immigration ,corker bill( Iran deal) etc.
all talk then help the obama agenda
When? After a couple of bankruptcies? Like he had.
Thanks. Notice they make no attempt to refute it. They can’t, because it is all true.
Nah... Trump would put the nomination up on EBay.
.
>> “I would happily elect a man who isn’t intimidated by the PC elites.” <<
.
That sure isn’t Trump!
He is cowed by them, paying them off in millions, and perhaps billions, and justifying it as “Doing business.”
Donating to Planned Parenthood, the Clinton Foundation, and whoever slightly steps into his path.
.
Don't give Trump or his TV fans any ideas - they'll turn the nomination process into another reality show or Miss America contest.
