The survey, conducted Friday and Saturday, finds Donald Trump holding his lead with 23 percent support among Republican primary voters. This is consistent with a Gravis Marketing poll taken after the debate, where 19 percent of Republicans said Trump won the debate.
The Gravis poll found that more Republicans, 22 percent, felt Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon and political rookie, won the debate. In the NBC poll, Carson surged into third place in the nomination contest, earning 11 percent support.
Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was the second choice in the NBC Poll, receiving support from 13 percent of Republican voters. Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina was fourth, with 11 percent, following her widely recognized domination of the undercard debate earlier Thursday evening.
The exact breakdown and percentage of the first seven spots in the NBC poll are: Trump (23), Cruz (13), Carson (11), Fiorina (8), Rubio (8), Bush (7) and Walker (7).
In other words, the highest poll ranking of a candidate acceptable to the Republicans in D.C. is Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), in fifth place with just 8 percent. This is stunning considering the obvious attacks on Trump by Fox moderators, ...
In the post-debate analysis, Fox News roundly criticized Trump and heaped praise on Rubio and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a former Fox News anchor.
Obviously the NBC News poll is the first of many post-debate polls and the nomination contest is still in its very early days. Trump created a silly controversy for himself with an attack on Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly over the weekend, which isnt factored into this polls results.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who is inexplicably also running for President, said Donald Trump was inflicting permanent damage on the GOP. He wants him booted.
Now that’s funny! I guess the gopE could get damaged more. But they’ve pretty well been operating a circular firing squad since 2000. They started shooting more accurately beginning in 2008.
Mmmm...guess the Donald’s not dead yet.
Reince Prebus is deeply sadned.
Trump/Cruz
or
Trump/Carson
or
Trump/Fiorina
I’m going on record to say that I think Megyn Kelly in my book remains a class act. She’s taking the criticism like a trooper. She has guts. She’s a lot like Trump.
I still like her. I wasn’t sure there for awhile, but I think over all she is on our side.
Could I ask what is a gopE? thank you
It's not stunning to people who understand how most viewers viewed the ambush the Foxes had planned for Trump, and had been bragging and gloating about on the air for two or more weeks before the debate.
wow all three are winners.
Trump (23), Cruz (13), Carson (11
Hehehe...the RINOs, the media, and the DNC don’t like what the American people are brewing up.
The GOPe and the republican leaders, along with the democrat leaders are so afraid that Trump will ruin their exclusive good ol boy club in Washington...They bluster and fight and argue against one another in public, but when behind closed doors in DC, they get together and laugh at how theyve pulled the wool over their sheeps eyes...They are nothing more than cohorts in a scheme to enrich themselves at the cost of the normal, everyday Americans who work their collective a$$e$ off to keep this country running.
They are scared to death that Trump will come in and wreck their scheme...
GOPe is the figurative head of the Republican party. It’s a reference to the leadership in Washington which many of us are upset with. They support moderate to leftist candidates and policies from the Republican party and we’re very tired of it.
They work against Conservative policy and candidates.
Grand Old Party East...
GOPe
Fox asks Trump about party loyalty. They ask him about things he has said in the past about women. They ask him about prior bankruptcies of some of his companies.
And, then, when they're all done, they say, "He never tells us what he believes in, where he stands on the great issues of the day." The truth is that they don't care about how he feels about such things and that's why they don't ask him any policy questions.
Megyn Kelly believed that her job was to Dump Trump. And that's what she tried to do.
E is for elites.
GOP Establishment = GOPe or eGOP or gopE
Fox kicked The Donald in the balls. What they forgot is that his are made of iron.
LOL
Well, looks like you got 3 answers. GOP East, GOP Elites, GOP Establishment lol. Well, they all work.
Did anyone here get polled? I didn’t get polled.
