Major Update on Vet’s Standoff Against GOV’s Attempt to Confiscate Guns

[FULL TITLE] Major Update on Vet’s Standoff Against GOV’s Attempt to Confiscate Guns — Here is Why a Sheriff and 2 State Reps are Standing With Him (And ALL Veterans Should be on High Alert) UPDATED WITH VIDEO

Yesterday we posted a chilling story about how the VA is actively attempting to confiscate guns. This isn’t just headlines with no proof. This is real story with overwhelming evidence the Obama VA is working to disarm Americans.

For those who don’t know what happened, last week a county Sheriff, two state reps and about 100 local citizens caused a VA inspector to cancel plans to confiscate a veteran’s firearms in Priest River, Idaho. The story confirms what we’ve been reporting for several months now. That the Obama administration is moving to disarm millions of social security recipients and veterans by deeming them incompetent to own a firearm.

At the time of yesterday’s post we reported information that was posted by other media outlets. And at the time very little information was available. It was thought that the veteran had checked a box in his paperwork telling the VA that he had help filing his financial paperwork and this is why the VA “ruled” he wasn’t competent to own guns. This may still partially be the case. We’re working to confirm this part and get more information to report.

But what we now know is one of the state representatives who rallied at the veteran’s home to block the gun confiscation, Heather Scott, read a letter from the VA confirming the confiscation was indeed planned. She posted about it on her Facebook page, a post that prompted the rally to defend the man’s rights.

Sheriffs have more power than most of us realize. It’s a very important position in the fight against tyranny.

10,000 “citizens” might convince their local congressman, but they don’t mean squat to Obama.

Because veterans are more likely to e conservative, and thus political enemies.

Not to mention, know how to use those firearms to good effect.

Expect Cruz and Trump to talk about it. The others? Not so much.

I would hope they all would, but I would like to think we can count on these two at least.

Time to stand up and be counted.

“I said in another thread he needs to find a fishin’ buddy with a boat.”

The “I lost my guns in a boating accident” joke was funny when I heard it 10,000 times ago. No, what this guy needs, and seems to have, are others willing to stand up for him. THIS is exactly how the oppressors have chosen to ‘test the waters’ to see if they can start getting away with confiscation. The danm oppressors of whatever political flavor, be it Nazi, Marxist, Obama regiem, etc, are the ones who like to say that guns are for sporting purposes, when I would hope that people who frequent Free Republic know that their protected 2A purpose is for exactly THIS type of scenario. If indeed this vet is being deemed incompetent to own firearms because he had help filling out forms, then it would seem that blatent tyranny is in play, and I would suspect that the writers of the 2A would have figured that the right they procured for the citizenry would be utilized rather than hiding the firearms or dumping them off the side of a boat. One certainly should hope and pray for a peaceful resolution to this situation, but if the government, local or federal, has become a force of tyranny, then the constitution ought to be protected. The individuals who are standing with this vet ought to be commended.

Most vets are probably Caucasian. Most gang members...decidedly not. Why yes, I do occasionally moonlight as Captain Obvious.

Nonsense. It’s past time for such nonsense.

The government is actively confiscating firearms.

The time is now to stand up to this and put and end to it, not run and hide.

Enough of the lame boating accident BS.

Take a stand.

I’d gift them to the NRA before I’d let the government have them. I’d gift them to the nearest Hell’s Angel chapter before I’d let the government have them in fact.

The guy had a mild stroke,
seems he would need a firearm for self defense even more now.

Ted Cruz needs to grab this political football & run with it.

Denounce the gungrabbing tyrants of the VA, demand radical reform (to at least lower the death rate of vets waiting to be seen!), make common cause with elected sheriffs, the whole enchilada. Visit that vet at his home, for gosh sakes.

He’s been seen at the firing range so this would be totally consistent.

Veterans and others on this thread need to pass this along to any and all veterans and other interested parties to spread the word far and wide...

It’s not enough to sit here and opine on the internet, we have to inform and warn. I truly believe that this event was a test case and there will be more test cases occurring in other areas.

We also need to be prepared to act locally like the 100 or so in this article...
