Limbaugh himself said on his show, before the debate was held, that he had heard the rich GOP donors had sent out the word to take out Trump immediately, that they were sick of his leading the polls.
The questions sucked: the chose each candidate on his least qualified point, but not with a straight, direct question, but framing the question in such a way as to set up the candidate for failure, or as ridiculous.
For example, why ask Walker about "just let the mother die" (instead of an abortion) when you have a Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon, who was performed surgery on babies in utero, standing maybe ten feet away?
The question about Trump was a softball, had he but used it: "Let's talk about the War on Women. That's supposed to set up Hillary. Remember when her husband was having illicit sex with 21-year-old intern IN THE OVAL OFFICE? He sent out his minions to lie about it, he sent out Hillary to lie about it; she even called it a 'vast right wing conspiracy' until Bill's body fluids were found on her dress. Bill suborned perjury -- a FELONY -- in the Paula Jones case, and is creditably accused by Juanita Brodderick of literal rape. Where were YOU then?"

Now that would have been a great answer. I would have literally stood up and cheered for that.
The last sentence wouldn’t work. Kelly would have been what about 6 then, but other than that, spot on.
