There were some low moments during the debates yesterday, both from the candidates (I often want to ask Rick Perry the question that Jules Winnfield asks that poor idiot in Pulp Fiction right before things go bad: English . . . do you speak it?) and from the moderators, too (So, Dr. Carson, youre black . . . ). But the lowest moment was the big cheer Donald Trump got for his Rosie ODonnell line and for his follow-up denunciation of political correctness. That was a low moment for two reasons. First, it was a lie, albeit a lie that may have been offered in jest: Trumps ungallant behavior hardly has been restricted to ODonnell. Second, political correctness is in this case a dodge: The complaint isnt that Trump violated some rarefied code of conduct dreamed up this morning by the dean of students.

Underestimate The Donald at your own risk.
Funny, I don’t need toilet paper when I’m done with work.
Babbitt? The only people who reference Sinclair Lewis are leftists. He’s more than a little past his expiration date.
It is true that the our inability to control our borders is an existential threat to these United States and that the crisis of illegal immigration is felt most intensely in downscale communities that do not register on Washingtons radar or Wall Streets. But Trumps buffoonery makes it less likely rather than more likely that something substantive will be done on the question.
........................
So exactly why is it that Trumps behavior makes it less likely rather than more likely that something will be done on the question.
Granted that Trump is not as politically polished as many of his rivals. True too that to his enemies he is a bully but he is running for the bully pulpit.
There are a great many Americans who feel like they have been bullied by the left. That the cult of niceness has been the undoing of the republican party.
Reading this ***holes own article, Trump was challenged about posts made on Twitter-- which indeed referenced a tussle he had with Rosie O'Donnel apparently years ago. The second reference was to something he allegedly said on Celebrity Apprentice (which neither Donald nor the woman in question even remember being said, or what the context was), a TV show, before he even had a Twitter account. So no, it's not a lie, you worthless piece of crap.
It is possible that Meghan read a left-wing blog or the Onion and invented the quote however, seeing as how the video or quote of it has not been produced.
I’m sorry, I’m tired of all this. Trump is an American. He personifies us. He is the Clint Eastwood character.
Like it or not, real Americans are like him, and we’ve had presidents, great ones like him.
I will feel betrayed if he runs as a third party allowing Hillary in the office.
But for now he’s our man...
Pretty disappointed in Williamson.
Which is exactly why Meghan’s and Fox News’s facebook pages melted down with a combined 20,000 posts— all negative— as pointed out by Freepers last night, before they cleaned it up.
We’re ALL sick of it, and this is only going to increase Trump’s support even more.
The video *has* been produced.
Trump didn’t initiate the quote but he did make the comment that seeing the blonde on her knees would be a “pretty picture.” The comment was made in a ribald manner.
Not worth bringing up in a presidential debate, but even the dude with the failed CNN show smirked at it.
Ah I see, I actually hadn’t seen any video from it, only references to it, and became suspicious when Donald and the woman in question stated they had apparently forgotten all about it.
Then it should concern you that he still talks about running 3rd party...
And, you like Leftists now?
On her show tonight, she has a panel who are most all criticizing Trump and finding no fault at all with the way she questioned him. A pathetic, stacked and phony dog and pony show. No mention at all that she and Fox had received overwhelming criticism.
She is disgusting. Stopped watching.
That’s why I’m watching the Ancient Aliens marathon crap on the history channel, and before that Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel. More Substantial.
If the RNC can’t treat him or his supporters fairly, I support his third party run. I won’t tolerate GOP corruption just to get Jeb Bush or the other designated RINO in charge, just so they can lose spectacularly like with Romney.
Sorry, but conservatives aren’t going to come out and vote for people that are forced on them, even if there are a few people on FR who are true believers in taking oaths of loyalty to our abusive spouses.
Williamson has had his pantys in a wad over Trump for a long time. He just keeps churning out the venom. I wonder who he is kissing up to.
She proved herself well qualified for The View with her performance last night. And maybe they could even get Rosie O'Donnell back again to complement Megyn.
Then Trump can make jokes about hogs and barbie dolls on hiw Twitter feed, and then Williamson or whoever this schmuck is can make negative posts about it that only people who will get really pissed off at him will read.
The woman on her knees comment was in an entertainment program. Put it into the Kathleen Willey context, and it is trivia. In that context, to put it out that Trump needed to be vetted against an attack by Hillary - who knew perfectly well how her husband treated women - is risible. Does Hillary really want to bring that up???If you visit the Virgin Islands and take the tours, they will take you to a public viewing area and point out the house where Hillary and Bill danced - and planted the story that they were outraged over the (obscure) publication of a photo of their imposture. They had absolutely NO expectation of privacy when they could easily see numerous tourists and knew that they could be seen by them just as clearly.
Many of us, who like what Trump is doing, support other candidates and FR via action and money - who do you support/donate to? It looks like you favor Cruz, but do you actually do anything to aid his campaign or to support FR?
