Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump may have outscored his fellow candidates in talk-time during Thursday night's GOP primary debate, but Republican strategist and CBS News contributor Frank Luntz said he saw the "destruction of a candidacy."
"Trump was the number one person walking into that debate. Almost all of his supporters (of the focus group) abandoned him because of what he said," Luntz said Friday on "CBS This Morning."

See, this is why you cannot trust a GOP strategist. They are idiots. Or they are paid by Democrats. Because on no Earth in this universe is a 50% poll result a destruction of ones candidacy and anyone claiming it is has a fool for an employer.
I don’t want Trump as President but the man increased his appeal across the board. He did nothing to hurt himself. And polling reflects that REALITY.

Oh what a surprise, Glenn Beck is pimping the Luntz report. He is such a fraud it hurts.
Frank Luntz is almost as big a scam artist as Trump.
His focus groups are garbage and the results rarely reflect actually polling that follows.
The only thing Luntz has going for him is he understands how important language is, ie using terms like “Death Tax” as opposed to “Estate Tax” or “investment” rather than “spending”. Then again, that isn’t exactly some remarkable revelation.
His focus groups are an exercise in group think and much the same as the old Phil Donahue type shows of years ago.
