It was so refreshing to wake up this morning and see those 3AM tweets by Donald Trump. This man doesn't give up. This man fights!

Some are wringing their hands and saying how "unprofessional" this is and how Trump needs to "dial it down a bit" with the Tweets.

I say FULL SPEED AHEAD.

For years, the GOP have always played "nice guy." Take George W. Bush for instance. For years, his critics savaged him and the Democrats conveniently blamed everything on him because he NEVER FOUGHT BACK.

Maybe Bush was too genteel to fight back or maybe he thought it was "beneath the presidency" to dignify those who were attacking him. But with the Democrats, it does not pay to be a nice guy. They will use their Alinsky tactics on us no matter what. Even if we "play nice" and roll over, they will still take every opportunity to attack a conservative.

In GWB's case, he allowed the Democrats to define him as a nitwit, an incompetent bumbler. "Bush's fault" became a catchphrase that even we use, although in a sarcastic manner.

Donald Trump is the first Republican candidate I can remember who will take off the gloves and sock it to his critics. It seems to be working as Trump continues to top every poll and was even declared the winner of last night's debate - despite it being nothing but an unrelenting attack on him. Trump is not a skilled debater yet - this was his very first one - but he showed us that he will not back down and he stood tall throughout the withering attacks. He was then up at 3 this morning sending out Tweets that have dominated the morning news cycle.

This is the kind of fire in the belly we've been waiting for. As Trump pointed out last night, we wouldn't even be talking about issues like illegal immigration if it wasn't for him. And without Trump, the debates last night would have only gotten a fraction of the viewership they did.

This must be scaring the hell out of the GOPe and the Democrats. They went all out to destroy the guy last night and they didn't lay a glove on him.

-——They went all out to destroy the guy last night——

or, conversely Fox went all to promote the candidates by bringing up weak points for examination and rebuttal.

What were his tweets?

My wife was really angry at Kelly for doing the gender card thing. Her comment was: "Here we are on the verge of losing our country and she's offensively bringing up gender issues and stupid democrat talking points? I'm ashamed of Megyn Kelly and what she's doing with this crap."

She was pretty upset and emotional, I think a lot of conservative women may have felt that way, or at least I hope so.

Exactly. I'm not completely sold on Trump yet, but I am so glad to see someone punch back for once. Romney, McCain, Jeb Bush, all of those men would have apologized profusely to Megyn Kelly's obnoxious "war on women" assault. I am beyond sick of "Republicans" falling all over themselves to please the arbiters of political correctness!

I blame Bush for the political climate we have today.

He refused to stand up for himself or for the republican party and they savaged him. Once they saw they could get away with it they knew there was no limit to what they could say and get away with.

Good post. Trump is definitely a fighter. The GOP should be taking notes.

Fights with his mouth and a twitter feed. That’s fighting? Over the last four years how much has Trump donated to support 2nd Amendment rights, pro-life groups, pro-marriage groups and etc.?

Imagine what he could do with a million dollars placed in the Minute Men’s group to guard the boarder. He’s done nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. All hat and no horse. All pole and no fish.

He’s as fake as Obama.

Trump said that he has never asked God for forgiveness. That means that he is not a Christian and will never get my vote.

“And without Trump, the debates last night would have only gotten a fraction of the viewership they did.”

Faux should’ve been grateful to Trump for increasing their ratings instead of vilifying him. Liberals never think of the consequences of their actions.

Right on! Damn the torpedoes, snarky ratings wh-res and establishment Republicans! I hope Trump outlasts them all and becomes President. I want to watch their bootlicking turnaround.

Two choices: Don’t fight and lose or fight back. If you fight back, you may lose, but if you don’t, your are done for sure.

But he doesn’t fight on substance. He fights like a junior high girl. It will build a bubble of support (enjoy the moment) then pop suddenly and he’ll go third party and Hillary will be your next President.

That’s not fighting, that’s crapping your own nest in a tantrum.

Although Trump may not be a “skilled debater”, he is a VERY experienced negotiator, otherwise he would not be far and away the richest of all candidates, both parties. Just like debating, negotiating includes skills of acting, timing, aggression, restraint and knowing how to put it all together.

Also, he is a New Yorker. NY is a fight and claw environment. I’m from NJ. Back in the early 1960s I was dating the lawyer son of a millionaire mother. He once said “I like Jersey girls, they have the sophistication of New York girls without the nastiness.” Sounded good to me. ;-)
