A Pentagon spokesman said the military’s elite forces need more diversity, and without, the nation’s security could very well be compromised.
“We don’t know where we will find ourselves in the future,” said Army Col. Michael Copenhaver, who’s published a paper on diversity among the special operating forces, USA Today reported. “One thing is for sure: We will find ourselves around the globe. And around the globe you have different cultural backgrounds everywhere. Having that kind of a diverse force can only increase your operational capability.”
The comments came as USA Today requested and received information on the diversity of special operations divisions that showed only eight of 753 Navy SEAL officers are black – one percent.
The newspaper also reported SEALs and the Green Berets in the Army are often the forces sent to the world’s hot spots for terrorist camp raids and hostage rescues, and as such, troops of all ethnic backgrounds could prove necessary for mission success. U.S. Special Operations Command declined to give USA Today data about ethnic makeup, and Gen. Joseph Votel, SOCOM commander, refused to speak for the news story.
But a month earlier, while speaking at the Aspen Security Conference, Votel stressed the need for diversity.

Ultimately the call is to return to the draft system. Currently the system requires quality volunteer inductees. With the draft they can change the requirements subtly, and undermine our fighting forces even further than they are with the confused gender’s, and rump riders.
How about the best people possible for these groups!

This recruitment campaign has the familiar tone of that “Mars Needs Women!!!” movie; desperate, frantic and not all that choosy.
That’s what this is about: lowering standards. But they don’t want to come right out and say it.
“Increasing diversity” sounds so much better and you get to denigrate actual SEALs, Rangers, etc. who were “not diverse” so, not as good as a trannies who can’t do a single pull up.
Apparently, people of color aren’t drawn to special forces.
Don’t misunderstand me — I think they perform a heroic service — but being a Ranger, Green Beret, Delta, NightStalker, Seal is damn difficult and damn dangerous.
Lot’s more MAJORITY troops are NOT drawn to Special Operations as are. Minorities see that, don’t join, and at one level the hallmark of that decision not to join up can be viewed as RATIONALITY.
I would ask, just what does a person of color bring to the table that a white person doesn’t ?

I also suspect they have severe difficulties holding their weapons upright.
White is an achromatic color, literally a “color without color”, composed of a mixture of all frequencies of the light of the visible spectrum.
