Eleanor Roosevelt is the current front-runner in the race to earn a spot on the soon-to-be redesigned $10 bill, according to a McClatchy-Marist poll released Wednesday.

The poll showed that more than one in four Americans (27%) are hoping that when the U.S. Treasury Department unveils the new design, the former first lady will be the woman featured.

African-American abolitionist Harriet Tubman is the second most popular choice with 17% of the vote, followed by Native American explorer Sacagawea with 13%.

I’m going to have to google her.

Not only did you post about an interesting person I’d never heard of, but you included a great line from a General who was rarely at a loss for words.

No. Just no. We have plenty of U.S. Presidents not on currency to choose from. Use one of them. Plenty of founding fathers, too.

Trump/Cruz can reverse this nonsense in about 3 minutes on Day One in the Oval Office and order Hamilton back on the greenback. Hamilton is much more important to American history than anyone an idiot Marxist could suggest.

Of course to appease the idiots, a good joke would be to put Justice Anthony Kennedy on a $3 bill with rainbow colors, or Pelosi or DWS etc. if it must be a woman.

worthless $10 bill ... you would think that the idiots could come up with a better choice!

Yes...put their faces on rolls of toilet paper and it will make everyone more productive in their daily bowel habits.

Perhaps they could put Michelle Obama on the $100,000,000,000 bill. Within a couple years and thanks to her husband, that’s what people will use to buy coffee, every few weeks when they can afford one cup.

How much money that we can’t afford to spend is being wasted on this foolhardy venture. “We can’t afford it! Veto! Veto!”

Many simpleton Americans simply can’t name any other women from history.

Their public school and the media told them Eleanor Roosevelt is famous, so they repeat it.

Ask them next - so what exactly is Eleanor Roosevelt famous for? And what’s her great contribution to society?

Tubman supported domestic terrorists led by John Brown.

Eleanor Roosevelt would not only be the first woman on US currency, but also the first homosexual. Two birds with one stone, and a great symbol of what America has become.

Joan Rivers said Mooseshell is a tranny, then died two months later.

So how about Mooseshell Obama the first tranny first lady.

Eleanor Roosevelt—even her profile is ugly.

Reagan should go on a bill before anyone else.

He freed more people than Lincoln.

I actually had family prominently on the other (non-John Brown) side at Harper’s Ferry.

But I can’t fault Tubman’s side, including her conspiring with like minds, so evil was what she fought.

Looks like she was all over the board. Joined the Communist Party in the 30’s, got dragged before HUAC in the early 50’s, renounced it, avoided the blacklist, voted for Ike, and then stayed out of politics for the rest of her career.

I agree with you about Reagan.

“Reagan freed more people than Lincoln” With a lot less causalties.
