Walmart-Sponsored Site Accuses U.S. of War Crimes, Defends North Korea

An explanatory news aggregation website sponsored by corporate giant Walmart has accused the United States of engaging in major war crimes against North Korea and defended the rogue nation in a recent blog post.

Max Fisher, a writer for the Walmart-sponsored site Vox.com, accused America of doing “something terrible” and “evil” to North Korea in a recent blog post that also defends the DPRK’s anti-American attitudes.

“The US did in fact do something terrible, even evil to North Korea, and while that act does not explain, much less forgive, North Korea’s many abuses since, it is not totally irrelevant either,” Fisher wrote.

“The US dropped more bombs on North Korea than it had dropped in the entire Pacific theater during World War II,” Fisher goes on to explain.” This carpet bombing, which included 32,000 tons of napalm, often deliberately targeted civilian as well as military targets, devastating the country far beyond what was necessary to fight the war. Whole cities were destroyed, with many thousands of innocent civilians killed and many more left homeless and hungry.”

While Fisher acknowledges that many historians view North Korea as already having been on the path to hating America, despite the bombings, he still maintains that they were problematic.

“Yet even if the bombing did not cause North Korea’s obsessive hatred of America and Americans, it did help to focus it,” Fisher writes.

“Here was a real American crime that everyone could see for themselves, and indeed had likely affected them personally,” he adds. “How could it not be formative?”

The best way to combat this stuff is to excerpt it on FR and then not click [or ever frequent] Vox. Pretty simple, really.

I saw no ad at all. Might be the business firewall I am behind is blocking them.

I’d like to see someone bait their browser by visiting walmart.com, and then go there.

As I recall McArthur wanted to take the war into N.Korea after Inchon but Truman was concerned with China and backed away. History has yet to define who was correct as to US interests.

It’ll have to be somebody else. I don’t allow it in my machine room.

I didn’t grow up during the Korean War. If I had, I might be able to judge that better. Seeing what historians have done with the history of Vietnam, I wouldn’t trust reading about it.

Whether the decisions between Ike and McArthur were right, would be difficult to assess. We’ve had 60 years of relative peace there. That’s probably the best you could hope for.

With it’s nuclear weapons program, we still may see North Korea rear it’s ugly head in an ugly way though

"this alleged attack on North Korea,"

The simple facts are no statement made by a committed leftist can be believed. They've lied so much in the past, nothing they say or write can be accepted as truthful. They pull numbers of out of their hindquarters.
