WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) tonight issued the following statement after S.1881, a bill to prohibit federal funding of Planned Parenthood, failed to reach the 60-vote threshold required for cloture:
"Last week, the Senate had an opportunity to stop the unconscionable use of taxpayer funds to murder unborn children. Instead, Republican leadership blocked a recorded vote on amendments to defund Planned Parenthood.
"Although the effort to reach cloture on a standalone bill failed tonight, this should not deter us in the fight to eliminate taxpayers' funds being used to bankroll the abortion industry and what appears to be the ongoing criminal organization of Planned Parenthood.
"I encourage my colleagues to continue to fight to defund this organization that places more value on the sale price of babies' body parts than it does on the sanctity of human life. We should not rest until we have done everything in our power to protect the life of unborn children. Ensuring no additional federal dollars go to the abortion industry or Planned Parenthood is a good place to start. This is why it is critical that we stand together to insist that not another dollar of our hard-earned money goes to a group profiting from the buying and selling of the body parts of babies."

Wow.... your petty sarcasm has won me over for Walker. You sure know how to win friends and influence others with that “talk” of yours.
I’m ok with Walker.
You seem to waste a lot of bandwidth and you are just about the stupidest person on Free Republic.
Has anyone asked President Trump what he thinks about all this?
Nope, you are mistaken. The stupidest person on FR would be me.
Unlike Walker whose own government is SWAT teaming his supporters. Now that’s results! I can’t wait for the next unconstitutional SCOTUS ruling so Walker can run to the podium and declare it “the law of the land.”
Sigh, if only Hitler had a leader like Scott Walker as an adviser. He would have convinced der Fuhrer to shut down some of the camps, but leave some of them open because those were his supporters.
Amen! I don’t want someone “who can work with both parties.” That usually means we lose more freedom. I want someone who will defeat both parties.
I will not vote for Walker. He’s a milquetoast, limp wrested, GOPe candidate. He can’t even convince his sons that his position is right. “He took on the unions.” Big deal. In little Wisconsin. The national unions would eat his lunch. He certainly won’t take on K-street, the oligarchs, and the Uniparty. I see no reason to vote for him. He would be Bush III.
Walker is a Republican.
Well that’s up to the republican moderates in his state to do that...
No telling if that will ever happen, they will undoubtable think he is the greatest Senator ever...
I blame them as much as I blame McConnell...
Did he have a challenger in his last election??? And when is he up again???
That cost him nothing but gave him the admiration of billionaire donors. His political allies got SWAT teamed, and he did nothing. That’s fighting?
Well thats up to the republican moderates in his state to do that...
...............................................
What I meant by that was get McConnell out as Leader of the Senate....
Why is it that people who disagree with me on FR always resort to name calling? The Trump supporters, the LesserOfTwoEvils caucus, The Walkers, The social libertines,... Whoops. Would this be considered name calling? It’s different when I do it because I’m right.
Going for a zot? If you get zotted, people on FR won’t know how awesome Scott Walker is.
“Walker was pro-abortion pro-amnesty until he decided to make anrunnfor the presidency. Not my words, but those of the talkies on American Family Radio. He is CoC, GOPe through and through.”
I didn’t know much about Walker, so I did my own research on him. He has been on both sides of many important issues, and this just in the past year. He has has CoC meetings in 2 states within the past month, that were closed to the media, and closed to the public. He is in their pocket. May he disappear within the next 90 days.
“LOL!”
Allow me to second that LOL, and raise you a LOL. Hard to believe : )
” Because feet were gonna be held to the fire!”
There was something else too....something about keeping dry powder....
My powder is always dry, good brother.
Hope you are all well.
Someone needs to stand up and have the gutts to say that Obama and his wife are NOT Christian, nor have they ever been.
And the same thing needs to be said about every modern day Democrat and moderate Republican...I am saying it now, but I cant call a press conference.
Its time for real Christian leaders such as Franklin Graham (I am proud of Franklin btw) etc to state that a Christian could not would not support the evils of the Democrat party, and that The Spirit of Christ could not be in anybody that would support the removal of God/Christ from the classroom public square, and/or abortion/homosexuality
We need people to stand up and put it all on the line
