A synced-up video of body camera footage from three University of Cincinnati police officers Ray Tensing, Phillip Kidd and David Lindenschimdt reveals the dramatic aftermath of the police shooting of a 43-year-old unarmed black man.
It shows that both officers were behind Tensing at the time he shot DuBose, but both backed claims the officer had been 'dragged'. These claims were used to justify the shooting, but were later dismissed as false by the county prosecutor who charged Tensing with murder. Kidd and Lindenschimdt have also been placed on leave

The point. You missed it.
Sarcasm is pretty hard to read on the internet.
Well, no. Especially if there are several of them telling you to do contradictory things.
And of course police are suppose to have limits on what they can tell you to do. I am sure you support that.
Tensing should loose his job and that is about it. He made a mistake around a drunk uncooperative hooligan.
A high speed chase of a drunkard is not an option, is it?
What is your source for saying he was drunk? I haven't seen any. Another poster on this thread hasn't found anything. If you have a source, I'd love to see it.
Thanks
Have you seen the video?
I guess not. Not when you can shoot them instead.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
The cop would have been insane had he not had his weapon ready. After all, Dubose was moving and reaching all around the car, he was unwilling to show a DL, he had alcohol in the car AND, his speech sounded impaired. I am sure any LEO in that situation would have been prepared. As far as I am concerned, the cop had justifiable cause to fear for his life.
Just as I thought.
Officer Tensing was dragged
Dubose tried to run him over
Dubose reached for a gun
Dubose grabbed Officer Tensing
Dubose had an empty bottle of gin
Dubose was drunk
Can't wait to read what you guys invent tomorrow.
Hey you don’t listen to cops then who knows what will happen to you. They make mistakes, it is like the dentist that says “hold still for me”. And you don’t. There goes your tooth.
No one would be dead if the other dipstick hadn’t used deadly force when there was no justification to do so.
If I have to pick a side: A lucid polite cop and a drunk loser, the choice is not hard.
“IMO this is this only thing that may trip up Tensing. As far as Im concerned, his allegedly falsifying the police report may be his only downfall.”
You are missing the point that Tensing’s “alleged” falsification of the police report involved falsifying the reason he shot DuBose. By definition, unless Tensing had a valid justification for shooting DuBose, the shooting was murder. So, your contention is that, even though Tensing lied about his justification for shooting DuBose, he was nevertheless justified, for some other reason that he.....forgot to mention in the police report? Good luck with that.
How about the side of "rule of law," in which police officers do not go around shooting people--yes, even drunk losers--without any legal justification for doing so?
There is no need to "pick a side" between the officer and the driver. "The driver was a drunk uncooperative idiot" and "The officer committed murder by killing the driver with no legal justification for the use of deadly force" are not mutually exclusive statements. One does not need to take the side of the victim in order to defend the rule of law.
Just who is saying Tensing lied? Not me. Certainly doubt Tensing himself is saying he lied. Did he lie? The Black Lives Matter crowd is sure of it. I guess you are too.
If anything put Tensing in danger here, it was Tensing himself.
was some kind of admission that Tensing's life was in danger. So, which is it? Do conditional "if" statements count or not?
Just one more example of your goalpost-moving anything-to-justify-the-shooting attitude in these threads, I guess.
I'm done with you. Good night.
And if the cop hadn't screwed up and shot him then he wouldn't be out on bail for a murder indictment.
Murder is a ridiculous charge. He walks then. Unintentional manslaughter at he most.
