On Tuesday, the world lost its collective mind whatever is left of it, anyway when media discovered the identity of the killer of a Zimbabwean named Cecil. Cecil is a lion. Cecil, a lion, was by most accounts one of Africas most famous lions. Cecil, incredibly, was famous for being a lion, not for curing cancer, although you wouldnt know that by the media coverage.

When there is as much outrage over aborted babies as there is about dead animals, I MIGHT shed a tear over Clarence
And I heard that he’s not only a white American, but he actually contributed to Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.
OMG. A Romney supporter goes hunting..... Liberals are going to have fun with this.
No, it doesn’t have to and shouldn’t be one or the other, but a little reality check on the magnitude of evil of one versus the other would be nice.
But this is even worse.
O! M! G! It’s Cecil! You could at least get his name right!
:)
Hysterical!
Shooting cute man-eaters is a no-no; murdering human beings happens every day without comment.
But she wants a Lamborghini!!

“When there is as much outrage over aborted babies as there is about dead animals, I MIGHT shed a tear over Clarence”.
My tag line sums your statement up perfectly.
PS: Named for Cecil Rhodes, was he?
No it doesn’t and I agree with you.
The truth is they also have no compassion for the lion either, he is merely a politically useful pawn.
The noble lion Aslan, in Lewis’ Chronicle of Narnia, was a Christ-figure.
IMHO, the timing of Cecil and the Planned Parenthood videos is not a coincidence . . .
And the message is not for us to merely decry the insanity of the concern over the lion compared to the wanton destruction of human life -—
-— but to find a way to reach people who can’t or won’t apprehend the truth head-on, of the horror of abortion and using babies for parts, but are indeed touched by Cecil.
Animals have always been used in fables and parables to teach the Truth. The Truth is grasped indirectly, but the moral lesson is learned . . .
We already know most with pro-abortion beliefs cannot be shaken by lectures, facts, reality.
Just an observation, a suggestion, if someone can use the “sacrifice” of Cecil in a way to open hearts to the unborn.
A picture of Cecil recognizable AS Cecil himself, in the manner of Aslan, or the lion lying with the lamb? In some way to protect the unborn??
Done sensitively.
IOW Cecil is now a cultural ICON, with meaning way above and beyond any ordinary lion or he way any lion would actually behave in nature. So can’t we figure out how the noble lion would protect the unborn?
Again, a humble suggestion, and I do not believe Cecil is a coincidence but maybe a blessing if someone can develop the right message . . .
Excellent tagline.
