'A coward and a killer': Protesters target US dentist's surgery after he admits paying $55,000

Death threats have been sent to the American dentist who killed Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe earlier this month amid growing anger over the protected animal's slaughter.

Tributes to the butchered lion have poured in thousands of miles away at Dr Walter Palmer's office in Bloomington, Minnesota, where protesters dressed as 'dentist hunters' also threw stuffed lions at his house.

Celebrities including models Cara Delevingne and Candice Swanepoel have also blasted the dentist, calling him a 'poor excuse of a human being'.

It's not as if Zimbabwe is widely recognized to be a stable,civilized nation populated solely by (and governed by) righteous folks!

I did some fishing last summer on the Zambezi river, and did get pretty close to shore on the Zimbabwe side... but the guides said we could get shot the second we set foot on shore... so we didn't.

If I read the earlier article correctly, he baited outside the permitted hunting area and shot the elderly lion illegally. Its pretty indefensible imho.
