Death threats have been sent to the American dentist who killed Cecil the lion in Zimbabwe earlier this month amid growing anger over the protected animal's slaughter.
Tributes to the butchered lion have poured in thousands of miles away at Dr Walter Palmer's office in Bloomington, Minnesota, where protesters dressed as 'dentist hunters' also threw stuffed lions at his house.
Celebrities including models Cara Delevingne and Candice Swanepoel have also blasted the dentist, calling him a 'poor excuse of a human being'.

Once you cross the line and start threatening death because somebody did something you don’t approve of, that was perfectly legal, you have forfeited your gravitas and credibility. This is the same mentality that Earth First exhibits, while they blow up office buildings of scientists who use vivisection.

Yep people get more outraged at killing an animal than for dead babies and people killed by ISIS.
Two shots with a crossbow, and still had to track it for a day and dispatch it with a rifle.
Regardless of other circumstances, he’s a poor excuse for a hunter.

Not really.It took over 40 hours for the lion to die,and then only because they finished him off with a rifle.

While it was legal to shoot him where they did,the methods used to get him off the game reserve most definitely were not.Plus he had a tracking collar on when shot,they removed the collar when taking his head and hide.
Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter if there's a good reason to cull the herd of old animals. Doesn't matter that the money these hunts raise often help support conservation efforts. None of this matters.
He's going to be destroyed, his reputation ruined and his business bankrupt. That's the power of social media these days.
Everyone needs to be aware of this. Do something people find offensive, get your name on the internet, you'd better prepare for hellfire. The end comes fast and with no mercy.
I think it is quite possible to be outraged at both situations. Both the dentist and the abortionists show contempt for God's creation. Killing for no other purpose than to satisfy your own ego is despicable regardless of whether the prey is a noble lion or an innocent fetus.
Honestly Sarah, doesn't it piss you off a little that this egomaniac lured the lion out of a protected zone, shot him with a crossbow and then tracked him for two days before finishing him off with a rifle? Not only was he a poacher, but he was a lousy hunter. He didn't even get close enough to deliver an accurate kill shot. The lion suffered for days. That doesn't bother you?
The Hill is reporting that this lion killer donated to Mitt Romney LOL yeah you can bet the media already found out that this guy donated to a Republican it will be repeated over and over and over again..Of course it bothers me, this dentist is an idiot, he should never have done it its absolutely horrible..just wish these same people who are outraged over this can also be outraged about babies being slaughtered in the womb
People have seen too many disney movies. It was a old lion. There are many lions. Lions are quick reproducers. How much of his $50k went for “animal conservation”?

He bribes some Africans to pull some meat behind a truck just outside a preserve to lure out an old kitty.
Which he shoots with a bow and takes over 40 hours to finally finish him off with a gun.
And now he has aroused the wrath of the Victoria Secret models.
There aren’t a lot of lions in Zimbabwe because Mugabe forced the white farmers out which drove the people to the brink of starvation so they wiped out a lot of the wildlife to stay alive.
Now they routinely raid the wildlife preserves of neighboring nations.
This guy does not play by the rules.
So old lions don’t feel pain like younger ones?There is no excuse for taking almost 2 days to track it down and finish it.

I hate what this man did.
I support hunting and I have killed animals myself, when I was a boy there was a time or two that it was not for the right reasons, it was because I could, and I regret those times very much.
But I would not kill anything higher than a deer unless I had no choice but to protect myself or unless I was starving and needed the animal’s resources.
I have no interest in killing God’s magnificent animals. Doing so would not make me more of a man, it would make me less of a man.
Just because I can kill something does not mean that I am going to kill something.
I am also outraged beyond my ability to even describe the wholesale slaughter of babies and the selling of their parts in my country.
From what I can see of mankind, his purpose is to kill and destroy, and I am disgusted.
I would rather that lion still be in this world.
But this dentist could have just used that $50K for penile enlargement.
