Larimer County, Colorado, authorities are scratching their heads over a case in which a man allegedly purchased an antique toy wagon, then shot it nine times with a handgun, the Associated Press reported Sunday, citing the Coloradan. The wagon, according to the report, was decorated with a Confederate battle flag.
The unidentified purchaser is described as a white man in his 60s, the AP said. He bought the wagon for $30 from a thrift store, placed it wheels-up in the street, then tried to run it over with his SUV. According to the Coloradan, the man originally offered $19 for the wagon, but store owner Kathryn Wegryzn held firm on her asking price.
After failing to destroy the wagon with his vehicle, he then fired nine rounds at it from a handgun. No one was hurt, the AP added, but witnesses scattered when the gunfire began.
The man left the scene before officers arrived. A deputy who responded to the shooting observed what appeared to be a tire spin mark on the gravel where the incident happened and several shell casings and jacketed bullets, the Coloradan said.
The AP said the incident took place ten days after the tragic shooting in a Charleston, South Carolina church in which nine people were killed.

Once he buys it, he can shoot it, paint it purple polkadot, make love to it... Hell, I got some stuff for sale if he wants. I’m sure the store will be glad to sale him something else.
I bet you could not run over wagons made today with an SUV and it survive. LOL
Looks like someone got their Oxycodone prescription filled.
“Im sure the store will be glad to sale him something else.”
Apparently they’ll have to slap a confederate flag on it first before he buys it.
I am waiting for the new season of Antiques Roadshow to see if they ban Confederacy related items.
Ah, that confederate-flag-derangement syndrome!
Wondering how many folks are gonna get it...
"Well, Mr. Carpetbagger. We got somethin' in this territory called the Missouri boat ride."
Rockrr? Is that you? :)
As we were driving through Moab UT, I came upon a house with a large gate painted with the Battle Flag.
Some people still fly the colors as I also noticed in Oklahoma.
The most popular bumper sticker in Colorado forty three years ago was...
DON’T CALIFORNICATE COLORADO!
Well, no w it has been.
The father of a friend of mine bought a cabin outside Colorado Springs about 50 years ago. They just sold it recently, because they got too elderly to drive out and enjoy it, but it’s no longer “outside” the Springs. I imagine they got a pretty healthy return on their investment from people like this toy-shooter.
