A 31-year-old man was arrested Friday night in the death of a Hollywood woman who was shot in the back of the head in an apparent dispute over money, police said.
Carrie Jean Melvin, 30, was walking with her boyfriend in Hollywood near Sunset Boulevard and McCadden Place (map), when she was shot on July 5, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.

Obioha and Melvin knew each other and had a financial dispute, Preciado said.
The shooter approached wordlessly and fired on Melvin from behind, hitting her in the back of the head, and then fled in a black sedan, according to police.
The gunman was described only as a black man in his 30s wearing dark clothing.

Was the “financial dispute” over drugs, or over something less boring and predictable?

Ezeoma Obioha? Let me guess.. Obama's son? A Kenyan immigrant no doubt. He is possibly an illegal, and get THIS; HE OWED HER $600 and failed to pay her. Perhaps she was going to take legal action against him for refusing to pay? She did Internet work for him and he never paid her for her work.
I guess he did it the Kenyan way. He murdered her so he would never have to pay her the money he owed her.

Forget the American part. The killer is from Africa. He came all the way over to America to spend his next 50 years in prison. No dearth penalty in California
The killing was originally thought to be a random act of violence but investigators now believe Melvin was targeted by Obioha due to a financial dispute. According to KFI AM 640, Obioha had hired Melvin to "produce online promotions for a security or clothing business." Just days before the killing, Melvin threatened to take Obioha to small claims court over a check he either bounced or canceled. The check was only for a few hundred dollars.
According to her LinkedIn, Melvin was the head of a social media company. Obioha lists himself as the head of a clothing company called Hoodfellas on his Facebook page, and is also the security guard at a pot dispensary. Police raided both the clothing store and the pot shop:

No one executed since 2006 in California. I read there is a defacto ban on capital punishment there. You could kill 10 people and you will not be convicted in a way where you get the death penalty.
