I, for one, would be very satisfied with a Mr. Fusion on the kitchen counter.

“The state has set a goal for itself of 55 percent renewables by 2017, 75 percent by 2032 and 90 percent by 2050. “

Bwahahaha. You’re cracking me up.

We’ll see how they like living in stick huts.

Hmmm...when the main source of attraction in Vermont becomes Liberalsicles in the winter, we’ll see how hardcore the whackos really are!

The Burlington Electric Department (BED) claims that 75 percent of the wood comes from within 60 miles. This is considered renewable in that trees regrow, although the amount of carbon thrown into the atmosphere has been shown to exceed that of coal. Also, once they are harvested, trees regrow whether they are burned as fuel or not.

wood throws more carbon than coal and trees re-grow - how fast ? these people are bat sh$t crazy.

The greens are de-industrializing America. It’s past time to put a halt to it.

California gets more than half its energy from neighboring Arizona, Nevada and Washington State, the largest import energy bill in the nation

That's right. Including the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating plant West of Phoenix, responsible for 16% of L.A. county's electricity.

They shut that off, think of the millions of Mexicans sweltering in the summer heat in Los Angeles. Aye caramba indeed...

The Kalifornia Klowns externalize their problems. The coal fired plants at Page, Arizona and Delta, Utah generate enormous power mostly for California. The dams on the Colorado - Glen Canyon, Hoover, Parker Canyon - same story. And don't forget Grand Coulee.

All so the prancing liberals of Kahl-ee-fornia can feel good about themselves. See! We don't have any Evil Power Plants! We are pure!

What BS. They create problems and then shuffle them behind a door to hide them.

In The New Yorker uber-environmentalist Bill McKibben recently described the Borkowskis, a Rutland couple who had Green Mountain Power do a completely energy overhaul on their century-old home and install solar panels on the roof. The couple cut their carbon footprint by 88 percent and financed the improvements through their electric bill.

Let's see how those solar panels work this winter...

“This is exactly why we closed Vermont Yankee, because we didn’t want any nuclear power,” they complained.

These ungrateful little bastards should be made to sit in the dark and freeze and starve in order to gain a full, rich appreciation of the ultimate consequences of their actions.

Lefty lumphead Luddites.

Vermont is no longer America and must be purged from the Union

Frankly, it is fun to watch them tear down each other’s ideas of “green” energy.

If I were an outside state selling electricity to Vermont, I would pass a law that gives priority to the home state over Vermont. Then, when it gets really hot or cold, turn the bastard liberals off.

Burning wood for electricity?

The fanatical hatred of coal and nuclear has no boundaries.

The state closed down Vermont Yankee, which provided 600 megawatts of power, when public opinion against it became overwhelming.
Let the rolling blackouts and brown outs begin.

There is no such thing as renewable energy.

Energy expended does not magically appear again to be reused.

The electric companies must be licking their shops at the possibility of adding those two items to their monthly bill.

Really? Licking their “shops”?
