“Give a tiered deadline for departure with assets intact.”
Good option...and there are many, many, possible. A guy willing to build a wall might just go ahead with one of these options - a person unwilling will simply grant Amnesty.

Maybe he meant “we’ll have plenty of time to talk about how we’re going to send them back to Mexico” - airplane, railroad, or a catapult across the Rio Grande.
Well, we can hope. Maybe he’ll appoint Tom Tancredo as the head of ICE.

Realistic is securing the border first.
Cruz and Trump have both made this statement.
Idealistic is rounding up the 30 million and have them build the wall from our side and finish it up on their side.
I have a dream, I am an American dreamer and I said this.

Lol. Anyone who believes anything this person says is way to gullible. How often does one have to change their stories, if not outright lie, before some people doubt them.
It's been clear Trump is an amnesty guy from day #1. His campaign manager is a major amnesty activist. But we have to listen how he is "sticking it to the media" on amnesty. That story is about as valid as Susan Smith's.
To: ZULU
The easiest part is stopping more illegal aliens from sneaking in here. But that doesn't do much, since the rate of them coming has slowed down, and 60 million illegals are already here. Stopping more from coming is barely even a bandaid.

Do you understand conservative economics? As long as we incentive them coming, they won’t stop coming. No border security will outweigh the power of the market.

“Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump left the door open to amnesty.”
‘Left the door open’?
Methinks that the Weakly Standard is trying to put words in Trump’s mouth. What he did is give an evasive non-answer.
We will know if and when Trump comes out for amnesty because of the mad rush by GOPe flunkies and stooges to jump on his bandwagon. It will look like a Jeb & Rubio piñata party.

Shepherd was in his own world
I know most around here don’t like him, but he make me laugh as much as Gutfield some times.
I got a buddy like that, big lib, but we can go out and have a beer, and not talk politics. I kind of view Shep with that jaundiced eye, but he says stuff, and has expressions that catch my humor trigger.
If he is a hardcore lib, he might be the only one with a sense of humor in America. People like Bill Maher don’t count as he’s just nasty, and thinks it’s funny.

"
A reporter asked, "Mr. Trump, what would you do with the 11 million undocument immigrants who are already here?""
Trump evaded the question twice and ended the press conference. No problem, though. I'm sure that he'll take the advice of his supporters to say "no amnesty" in his speeches. That'll solve the problem.
No one can stop the mighty steam roller bandwagon.

I agree - I saw it and heard nothing of the kind. He basically said he doesn’t want to talk about anything until the borders are sealed to illegals.

Really, some of us are only failing to understand the meaning of Donald Trump's words. It takes close attention and a little practice. So to get started, practice understanding the following.
"
'I was their fair-haired boy,'...'Im not in the gang. Im not in the group where the group does whatever its supposed to do,'...'Im surprised that Im this high'" (Donald Trump as quoted by Kevin Cirilli and Bob Cusack, "
Exclusive: Trump threatens third-party run,"
The Hill, July 23, 2015).

Amnesty? Trump never mentioned amnesty once in the very edited section of video from that news conference.
You have to secure the borders first. He's absolutely correct, you deal with those who are already here later.
1st priority is to secure the borders before millions more can flood in like they've done for 30+ years under the pro-politicos.

Taking it on a case by case basis is NOT blanket amnesty. That's true. It's 'case by case' amnesty. Why have laws when we can just depend on judges to make stuff up as they go along?
