Ted Cruz’s worst fear about the nuclear deal with Iran? That “millions of Americans will be murdered by radical theocratic zealots.”
President Obama [argues] that under the deal Iran’s ability to quickly make a bomb will be hamstrung, and that doing nothing would actually accelerate Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
But Cruz said if Iran were to acquire a bomb, he fears the detonation of a nuclear weapon over Tel Aviv,... that would “murder vast numbers of Palestinians” and Israeli Jews.
“The odds are unacceptably high that they would view the murder of those Palestinians is perfectly acceptable collateral damage to annihilating millions of Jews,” Cruz said.
The second scenario that Cruz said is a “really real risk” is Iran loading a nuclear bomb onto a ship, guiding it to the Atlantic Ocean and detonating it in the atmosphere to “shut down the entire electrical grid on the Eastern Seaboard.”
“It could take down our stock market, our financial systems, but even more importantly, could take down food delivery, water delivery, heat, air conditioning, transportation. The projections are that one nuclear warhead in the atmosphere over the Eastern Seaboard could result in tens of millions Americans dying,” Cruz said, responding to a question of what is the biggest risk under Obama’s nuclear deal. “The greatest risk to this Iranian deal, it is that millions of Americans will be murdered by radical theocratic zealots.”
Cruz also weighed in on ... Kerry’s reaction to remarks by ...Khamenei that he will “trample” the United States. Kerry said the comments were “disturbing” but wasn’t sure how to interpret them.
“John Kerry said something to the effect of: I don’t know what to make of Khamenei’s comment,” Cruz said. “There’s not a great deal of ambiguity in death to America. (snip)

And how the hell would we stop that?
Imagine, if you will, that some of the so-called 'Stimulus' from 2009 was spent on hardening the electrical grid instead of setting up 'Rat-controlled slush funds.
That would be one answer, if we had an administration that actually DIDN'T want the country to be destroyed.
Hey y’all! No worries! Just lower the blinds so Iran will think nobody’s home. Plus, explosions won’t go through them.
You opened up a can of worms with me.
For years it’s been reported now ant then how vulnerable we are to an EMP attack. The grid could go down for months or years!
You would think the utility companies, the regulators, state government, and national security agencies would be demanding something like you are suggesting be done.
Now it’s 2015 and the Iran giveaway is a reality. Congress is useless. What possible reason could there be for everyone sitting on their hands?

Ted Cruz Ping! Forget about the ship...Iran is on the verge of testing a crude ICBM capable of reaching the eastern half of the U.S. Imagine the effects of one or two EMP bursts between D.C. and Boston.
Incidentally, the only viable defense we have against ICBMs are the ground-based interceptor missiles in California and Alaska. The Pentagon estimates the current interceptor force could achieve a 90% probability of intercept by firing four missiles at each in-bound ICBM. Based on that ratio, we can defend against a total of 7 ICBMs.
In other words, once Iran develops an ICBM, it will be able to saturate our existing defenses in a matter of months. And something else the administration won’t admit publicly: Obama and his crack national security team did not expect an ICBM threat from Iran until 2020 (at the earliest), despite intel warnings that such a capability is at hand.
One more thing: Iran is also a prime candidate for the Klub-K, the Russian-built cruise missile that can be hidden in a shipping container. Put a nuke on that platform, hide it on an Iranian-controlled container ship, and launch off the eastern seaboard.
For what it’s worth, NORTHCOM is spending lots of money to upgrade detection and intercept capabilities against that type of threat.

Sunni Muslim’s have a 5 to 1 numerical advantage over Shiite Muslims. How do you alter that is seconds? => Shiite’s will soon have nuclear weapons.
And, please... The Sunni/Shiite devide is NOT this BS window dressing about the inclusion of a few extra theological books. Sunni Arab’s killed the prophet Mohammed’s grandson and displayed his head in Damascus. Sunni Muslems destroyed the bloodline of the prophet. Wahabi’s/Sunni’s revere the them man that did it. Conversely, Shiites have a shrine to Mohammed’s grandson in Karbala, Iraq.
