What girls are being ganged up on?
You haven’t read the thread
“In fact the Bible talks about the priesthood of all believers”
Which has nothing at all to do with the ministerial priesthood. And the only valid Eucharist is when an ordained Catholic priest or Orthodox priest is there to consecrate the host. This is impossible in any protestant “church”. Now you can believe anything you want. That’s your prerogative.
“We ask and repeat that no one handle in unconsecrated hands the Body of My Son! It will be defiled and discarded, unless only a legally-ordained priest, a man of God, with purified fingers of the Holy Spirit, give the Body and Blood of My Son to each one under his care.” - Our Lady of the Roses, September 6, 1975
In the Bible it is recorded that only the Levite priests were allowed to carry the Ark of the Covenant: No one may carry the ark of God except the Levites, for the Lord chose them to carry the ark of the Lord and to minister to him forever (1 Chronicles 15:2; 1 Paralipomenon 15:2 in Douay-Rheims Bible). But when a non-Levite touched the Ark of the Covenant, he was struck dead: And when they came to the floor of Chidon, Oza put forth his hand, to hold up the ark: for the ox being wanton had made it lean a little on one side. And the Lord was angry with Oza, and struck him, because he had touched the ark; and he died there before the Lord (1 Chronicles 13:9-10; 1 Paralipomenon 13:9-10 in Douay-Rheims Bible).
As I already told you I am Cruz supporter
I think you are making more of what I happen to consider a Laugh Line, sorry. All the Women in the Audience thought it was funny. It has nothing to do with supporting Trump.
BTW - Is there a Statute of Limitations on Jokes.
Now, how about attacking Bernie Sanders for his written words about Rape Fantasies?. They aren’t in the same League.
I’m not arguing the point. just telling you how I see it.
We agree to disagree as many FReepers do each and every day.
For me, it’s the fact that he goes through women and wives like a Coney Island speed eater goers through hot dogs.
Don’t see much Christianity there...although I love what Trump is saying.
Ed
Exactly the point even though he was clearly joking. Many here are offended by Trump’s comment. The follow on it that he said “I just try to do better.” Isn’t that what it is all about?
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;The offering of the body of Jesus is once for all. The duty of the believer in partaking of the Lord's Supper is to remember what our Lord has done for us, and to show forth His death until He comes. Any believer can do that. The passover meal in which Jesus revealed the New Covenant meaning of the bread and wine was not subject to the priesthood. Jesus the High Priest has already offered the sacrifice and the Father has already accepted it. That is the whole point of the book of Hebrews. You need a priest to offer the sacrifice? You have one. Jesus. And He's already done with the offering. You want to solemnly remember that offering? Go buy some bread and wine, sit down with your fellow believers, and think on the beauty of love that led to Jesus dying for our sins.
(Hebrews 10:10-12)
You have the OT mixed up with the New. The curtain is down in the temple, and God Himself indwells believers in the form of the Holy Spirit. If God indwells us, then we are already in intimate contact with Him, so how could only those ordained by your order touch the Supper He ordained for all of us?
Unlike a lot of protestants here, I believe Christ is truly present in His Supper as He said. BUT - I also believe the bread and wine still exist as the vehicle, we do not worship the elements, and we do not think there is another or perpetual sacrifice for sin at every celebration of the Lords Supper.
In my church it is customary that only the ordained preside over the celebration of the Supper as a matter of order, but any believer could and not be wrong - as long as it as done is a solemn and reverent fashion as Christ commanded.
I don’t follow revelations of apparitions that are likely demonic and deceptive. The only Person that speaks to us from beyond the grave is Christ - who has been resurrected in plain view of all at the time. Anything else is necromancy, occultic and forbidden.
I’ve read it.
Never mind.
me too. What? A shot and a cracker offensive? LOL
True. But Trump talks like that. What's really going on inside his head, who knows?
Yeah, no worries. In fact, lets just call God the Flying Spaghetti monster, dunk Jesus in a jar of piss and paint Mary in cow crap so our transformation on FR to liberals will be complete.
No biggie at all.
