During a recent Republican presidential forum, Donald Trump disparaged Senator John McCain’s war record, claiming that McCain is “not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

And the Internet responded, surfacing a photo that some are calling the perfect comeback and reminder of McCain’s service to his country.

Not a fan of either McCain or Trump. Trump going after McCain's military services though was uncalled for. Everyone knows that McCain's military service is a "no go zone."

McCain's political career though, is fair game.

Especially after he called anyone who supported Trump "crazies."

McCain's military service has been in question ever since he stood on it as a politician. It's fair game. The fact is, his treatment of POWs/MIAs has been questionable for years, and there is evidence he's suppressed information or hindered actions to search for and recover POWs (if any are still alive), or MIAs.

I doubt that anyone on the right would even hesitate to come to McCain’s defense if he hadn’t betrayed us all - over and over again. This is a muddy mess more of McCain’s doing than anyone else’s.

So, honor him for his service? Yes indeed. Give him credit for surviving? You bet. Call him a hero? Not me.
