John McCain's betrayals Exposed By Vietnam Vets And POWs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hr37eE0nO8&feature=youtu.be
I call BS on this. McCain flew A-4s, a non-afterburning jet.
The JBD goes up as directed from the deck, and no run-ups are allowed until it goes up. The launch director tells the pilot when to go to military power. If he does it early the airboss would jump down his throat.
My guess is that this is a sea story.
This is unfair, and we all may have done the same thing. But, he participated in enemy propaganda broadcasts during his captivity. Tokyo Rose went to prison for the exact same thing. He went to the US Senate and almost POTUS.
Also, his cruelty to the MIA families was so out of line that it raised a lot of suspicions.
My point being - I don’t think his “heroism” is off limits.
Wow. Wish I knew about this years ago.
...in 1992!
McLame is no friend to America, and to a Naval officer...he is NO Naval officer!! He rode his daddys coattails so long, he has wool coming outta his arse! (or is that a goat?)/S
I do not disparage his time in the Hanoi Hilton, but if you are looking for a “hero”, I highly recommend Admiral Stockdale...and a quote from him, that I keep posted in my home: “You must never confuse faith that you will prevail in the end....which you can never afford to lose,....with the discipline to confront the most brutal facts of your current reality, whatever they may be”
Our country needs more Stockdales, and fewer McLames!
The flight deck video shows that an air-to-air missile from another aircraft on the ship started the fire. The video is posted on the Wikipedia page for the Forrestal fire. McCain’s plane was at the edge of the flight deck with no other planes behind it.
Thanks good info to PASS on!
The Enemy is within and until we deal with that Enemy we will Never be able to Deal with the Enemy’s outside the Nation!
God bless Stockdale.
McCain POW Cellmate Speaks Out on McCain’s Heroism:

I despise McCain for what he did when he came back. He started sucking up to politicians before he left the Navy. Dumped his wife and married a rich woman, whose family bought him a seat in Congress.
In office, he’s betrayed every conservative principle. He becomes a fake conservative about 6 months prior to election, then goes hard left the instant he wins. That is why I voted for his opponent in the 2010 general election. I voted for Palin in 2008, but could not vote for McCain in 2010.
But that doesn’t mean he behaved badly while a POW. For those not familiar with George Day:
“George Everett “Bud” Day (24 February 1925 27 July 2013) was a United States Air Force colonel and pilot who served during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, including five years and seven months as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam. Day was a recipient of the Medal of Honor and the Air Force Cross. As of 2013, he is the only person to be awarded both medals...
...Among other endeavors, in 1996 Day filed a class action lawsuit for breach of contract against the United States government on behalf of military retirees who were stripped of their military medical care benefits at age 65 and told to apply for Medicare. Although winning the case in the district court in 2001, the judgment against the U.S. was overturned by the U.S. Court of Appeals in 2002. Congress later redressed this situation by establishing the TRICARE for Life (TFL) program, which restored TRICARE military medical benefits for career military retirees over the age of 65, making the retirees eligible for both programs with Medicare as the primary payer and TRICARE as the secondary payer....
... In the months leading up to the 2004 U.S. presidential election, Day appeared in television advertisementsalong with other members of the 527 group Swift Vets and POWs for Truthdecrying John Kerry’s antiwar activities following his military service during the Vietnam War and declaring him “unfit” for service and of a “dishonest” disposition for comments and actions made by Kerry after the Vietnam War, including his testimony before Congress in Washington, D.C...”

That is not what this video is about.
Probably the last thing McCain wants is to resurrect his military past.
Have known this for a long time. Thanks for posting Jim

A-4 did not have an afterburner. If you are referring to the Forrestal fire, the initial event was a Zuni rocket being loaded on to an F-4 Phantom II lit off due to a static discharge and hit McCain’s Skyhawk. The death toll there was high.
I as much as I dislike McLame, this story is BS. I worked on A-4s ... TA4Js to be precise while with VT-23 for several years. I can say with some confidence that A-4s don’t have an afterburner ... never did ... and McLame flew A-4s
McCain was the pilot in the A-4 Skyhawk on the USS Forrestal when his aircraft was hit by a Zuni rocket from another aircraft on the flight deck. McCain was not at fault in this incident. The A-4 had a J52 engine which does not have an afterburner can, so your claim is not possible.
Yes, I know, I watched the clip. Still doesn’t excuse his 1992 betrayal.
I’m just saying I can’t comment on McCain’s psychological reasoning.
Good synopsis. And McCain has been a disgrace to the country ever since he took office. Lets don’t overlook the fact that he was one of the Keating Five.
Ditto & bump
I believe John McCain is an American hero. There was no cover-up.
