With the understanding that I will get hammered by the Trump supporters on this page, I have some questions for you about your candidate:
First, WHY do you support Trump? Is it only because he talks tough? Do you have HISTORY to prove he means what he says on this issue?
Second: Other than screaming about illegal immigration (he is right about it), talking about bombing oil fields and that Persians are smooth negotiators, WHAT other issues does he understand? On what other issues is he Conservative?
Third: Who do all of you expect Trump to choose for the SCOTUS?
Fourth: Can you prove Trump is different from his past as a Democrat...can you prove he is Conservative? how? (please don't feed us the BS that Reagan was once a Democrat...Trump isn't Reagan)
Fifth: How do you reconcile his flip-flopping on issues like Immigration, guns, abortion and OBAMACARE and Hillary?
Sixth: Can anyone explain WHY Trump supported Obama in 2012?
Seventh: Why, suddenly, in 2012, did his donations INCREASE to Republicans when he first decided to run as a GOP candidate for POTUS? Why was he a Democrat donor before then? (don't give me the 'Oh, well, he had to do business in NY crap, either...he gave to candidates outside of NY).
Finally, how can you all be certain that Trump isn't a trojan horse? How can recent talking points outweigh his recent history of comments, etc?
If Trump really is who you think he is...prove to us WHY you think this.
LOL...
Typical response of a Trumper...you don’t agree with my candidate and you ask tough questions so you must be a Jeb supporter...
You prove my point.
Oh, I am. I love FR. Thanks for the kind words though ;-)
Thanks Rusty, marked for later viewing.
I’ll have to see it in full context before and will comment on what he said, though at a cursory glance it sounded wrong.....
LOL...
There is a reason I haven’t been zotted...
You really must pull up your big boy pants and admit that the questions are worth asking and that you can’t handle them...so, you, like so many others, resort to name calling.
It is a shame that if you disagree with a post, that you are so quick to want to ban someone. LOL. Yes, you really are a Conservative, aren’t you?
You are scared of the truth...I understand that. But stop whining...and allow people to ask the questions you are afraid to ask. Otherwise, go cry to John Boehner and ask to share his tissue.
Go Cruz!
Go play with your self little boy.
LOL.
Classy...much like Trumps comments about McCain. No wonder you like him...
Now, do you like telling people to play with themselves? Man, you have some issues.
Sensitive much?
I have read most of the book and so far it seems he is saying pretty much what he wrote in that book.
Yawn....tick tick tick....
That is brilliant C. Trump and Jeb are on opposite sides of the issues and yet you equate Trump supporters just as likely to vote for Jeb.
It is people like you who will give us Jeb. When a candidate other than Trump who is advocating the issues important to our future, shows he can win the primary, I will take notice.
As of right now it will be Jeb or Trump, I choose Trump!
Now show us who else has the support and $$ to beat Jeb?
End game here is who can beat Hilliary? It won’t be someone with single digit support from Republicans and almost zero support from everyone else.
I am a realist and the thought of Hilliary as president is to horrible to risk by supporting someone who can’t even win the primary let alone the election. Two terms of Obama made me a realist.
Trump is not perfect but he is a formidable fighter and he is fighting for us on the issues we want fought. He can win and that gives me great hope. Also the fact no one is going to buy Trump is huge and should not be overlooked.
Here is Hilliary’s election strategy in a nutshell. “I can be bought!” Only Trump can kill that monster of buying the Presidency. How many times we going to let that happen? The GOPe is part of that problem. We must end that now.
So you choose....hold out for the impossible dream, or Jeb or Trump? Every choice other than Trump gives us President Hillary.
Rule 1. No more Bushes.
Rule #1 is vote conservative, isn’t it?
But yeah, I agree about the Bushes.
Used to be but the “compassionate conservative” blew that one out of the water.
I think allot of conservatives have ben so embarrassed by this dolt in office that not much can be said these days to match it.
You are really a waste of time.
I didn’t say you were a Jeb supporter, I said you and those like you will give us Jeb as the nominee! We either support the only person who can beat Jeb or we end up with Jeb.
The GOP bosses are not going to let Cruz win the nomination....never going to happen! At 4% he isn’t even a remote threat.
Trump is a runaway train, the GOPe cannot control.
Your strategy gives us Jeb, wake up! I say no to seeing Hilliary as President and that will remain my focus.
Right. Vote conservative, or don’t vote. Thanks, Conservatives, or whatever you are, for the putrid mess we are in. But go and ahead and do it again, without thinking about your grandkids. At least you won’t have to live through it.
Trump is an admitted Democrat. Put aside what he's saying today, and his record and history are liberal. That's fact, whether you choose to face it or not.
'It is people like you who will give us Jeb. When a candidate other than Trump who is advocating the issues important to our future, shows he can win the primary, I will take notice."
Oh, no, you don't. I will be damned if you're going to put that on me.
If you choose a sideshow candidate like Trump over the best conservative since Reagan, and you lose, you better put the blame squarely where it belongs---right on yourself.
"As of right now it will be Jeb or Trump, I choose Trump!"
Why would you choose a Democrat?
"Now show us who else has the support and $$ to beat Jeb?"
I keep hearing that...Cruz has no support. Apparently you don't understand how that works. You don't stand back with your arms folded, waiting for someone else to support him. You get behind him yourself.
If we want this country turned around, we better pick a Constitutional conservative this time around, or we are screwed from here on out.
"End game here is who can beat Hilliary?"
Cruz.
After Trump has served his purpose, Cruz will still be the cool, sharp, brilliant conservative mind that he is.
" It wont be someone with single digit support from Republicans and almost zero support from everyone else."
See above for instructions on how that "support" thing works.
And it's a lie that Cruz has zero support. There are a few, shall we say...easily distracted types who have been drawn to the shiny new thing and can't take their eyes off it. Rather than give it proper due, they've built it up into some superhuman savior of the world (sound familiar?)
But when the dust settles and those folks realize Trump can't calm the seas anymore than Obama could, they'll probably come to their senses.
"I am a realist and the thought of Hilliary as president is to horrible to risk by supporting someone who cant even win the primary let alone the election. Two terms of Obama made me a realist."
A realist?
A realist understands that voting for any Democrat gets you the same results.
"Trump is not perfect but he is a formidable fighter and he is fighting for us on the issues we want fought. He can win and that gives me great hope. Also the fact no one is going to buy Trump is huge and should not be overlooked."
God, the hero worship in that paragraph alone.
Cruz won't be bought, either; he has integrity. Trump? Not so much.
The issue isn't that Trump is less than perfect. The issue is he's a liberal. If you expect different results, you're in for a world of hurt.
"Here is Hilliarys election strategy in a nutshell. I can be bought! Only Trump can kill that monster of buying the Presidency. How many times we going to let that happen? The GOPe is part of that problem. We must end that now."
That's a convenient excuse for supporting Trump, and I'm seeing more of it.
Dumping the best candidate since Reagan because he has an R after his name makes no more sense than voting for a RINO because HE has one.
"So you choose....hold out for the impossible dream, or Jeb or Trump? Every choice other than Trump gives us President Hillary."
There's no impossible dream. A Cruz presidencyc can easily be reality. It's up to folks who are caught up in this cult of personality over a Democrat to wake up and get behind a conservative.
Or not. But you aren't going to blame the rest of us when it blows up in your faces.
I don’t have grandkids. And I voted for Romney last time.
I’ll never cast another vote for a liberal, and I don’t give a rip who has a problem with that.
For your information, this IS a conservative site, so your derision at “voting conservative” is entirely out of place.
Ok you make your choice, I have made mine.
If Cruz shows at some point he can win the nomination I will reevaluate but I don’t see that happening. A good man with some flaws but not going to win this primary. Hopefully things will change enough under a Trump win that a man like Cruz can win the GOP nomination in the future.
When it is evident to you that it is going to be either Trump or Bush, I hope you will support Trump. Hilliary must not become President and another Bush will just about as bad.
Good day...I am off to my daughters for a nice dinner and two questions she wants to ask me, this will be interesting.
LOL...Cruz isn’t at 4%. In the most recent polling, he has pulled 3rd place finishes.
So, if Cruz ain’t going to win and neither is Trump, then what is our option?
Bush is a disaster so what do you propose?
Good for you. Vote straight conservative and shut up when you lose. Cause you’re gonna.......
