Nearly a quarter of U.N. member states are urging that the next secretary-general, for the first time, be a woman.
Its the latest sign of momentum for the idea as campaigning to succeed Ban Ki-moon at the end of 2016 begins in earnest.
A document obtained by The Associated Press points out that in the 70 years of the world bodys existence, a female candidate has never been openly considered. Forty-two countries have signed on to declare that the time has come for a woman to hold the highest position.
The new Group of Friends in Favor of a Woman for Secretary-General of the United Nations includes two of the largest contributors to the U.N. budget, Japan and Germany.

I didnt look to see if any of the 42 countries were Muslim member states.
They can have Hillary
So... that means 75 percent don’t.
Won’t the position name have to change? Secretarial Generality!
Hillary already working on a fall back position?
BS
They already have the person in mind....
GMTA. My first reaction was, rewrite the headline and:
‘Over three quarters of UN oppose woman as next Secretary General.’
I will be happy to give them a Kenyan born queer. Is that close enough?
Hillary, paging Hillary...pick up the blue and white phone...Hillary...
That was my first thought, are they floating a lifeline to Hillary??
“Why?” “Because...”
Because Hillary isn’t going to win, and everybody knows that.
However, many have purchased enough influence peddling from her that it is in their interest to install her in a place where she can continue to exert that influence.
Obama?
Someone pulled Hillary’s name out of their....hat.
It’ll be either the Kenyan TOTUS, She Who Must Not Be Named, or William the Impeached.
I’d just settle for someone, anyone, who wasn’t a Statist who smells of death camps.
I don’t know why, but when reading the headline, “Whore of Babylon” came to mind.
Bill Clinton comes to mind...The first black President becomes the first female Secretary General.
Well, the UN was not around in Jesus’ day whereas the Beast was. But that does not mean that the influence of Babylon is not in the UN, to be sure.
why is the left obsessed with gender? they just want to have these things just for the sake of having them.
