FLASHBACK: Trump: Geller 'taunting' Muslims with Muhammad event ["obnoxious blowhard"]
Fox News ^ | May 5, 2015 | Neil Cavuto with Donald Trump

Posted on 07/17/2015 12:20:59 AM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

"CAVUTO:.....Donald,..you were critical of the Texas event for doing just that. What do you think about this one planned in New York?

TRUMP:I think it's very simple. Our country has a lot of problems. We have got problems at every different level, whether it's economic or war and money that we're spending that we're not getting anything.

We spend billions and billions of dollars fighting and even trillions of dollars fighting. We end up getting nothing out of it. And the last thing we need is an obnoxious blowhard like Geller to go out and start trouble, when there's no reason for it.

There's absolutely no--I'm a bigger believer in free speech than she is, believe me. And I think it's very, very important. And we can't allow people to get away with bad stuff, the kind of stuff they're doing, the beheadings. We have to be tough and we have to absolutely go in and wipe out the bad. But for her to go in--and I guess she makes money doing this. Something has to happen. What is she doing it for? This has nothing do with free speech. This is taunting. And all it does is cause trouble..........

CAVUTO:..she says..you went a little far...

GELLER:And as far as Mr. Trump goes, he sure flaps his tongue and uses free speech and wishes to silence others. There's a war going on.

CAVUTO:What did you think of that?

TRUMP:Well, there certainly is a war going on.And she should be a--she should be much more responsible because what she's doing is unnecessary. I will give you an example. Let her go out and talk about--she's using those show free speech. She's not using it for any other--and she's using it for her own purpose.

She's a--she's a person that is doing this for her own purpose..and she's doing a terrible thing for our country....

You are correct.

It seems Trump leans toward the Obama doctrine of appeasing terrorists, while calling out border states for their stupidity and inaction on immigration.

At this point, a random citizen out of a phonebook is more palatable as president than Obama. Then we have the “obnoxious blowhard” Donald Trump sending the overlords into a tizzy. Out of all the conversations, he hit on the most profound, illegal invaders. And this conversation begs the question. Why is not every politician talking about the illegals? Swamping America with 3rd world illiterates is an existential threat.

Let us not make the mistake of overlooking the obvious. The Republican leadership sold out on this issue long before Obama arrived on the scene. And with recent revelations, we see that Denny Hastert, former Speaker of the House, was compromised. And this begs the question. Who else was compromised?

You champion Donald Trump because of Denny Haster?

There is another way to address problems and offer solutions:

Scott Walker: We're at war with radical Islamic terrorism

They want to peal us away from the candidate with THE issue. Cause they know with the exception of a couple others they is no one else who will do anything about foreigners streaming across the border.

I don’t know that Trump is in this for himself any more than any other candidate. Personal ambition is certainly a part of what motivates most people to run for President. That in and of itself shouldn’t necessarily disqualify him as long as he’s motivated by patriotism as well.

Trump is not perfect. He’s wrong on this issue. It is true that at times, he is a loose cannon. On the other hand, he’s impressed me in a lot of other ways. Every candidate running has said or done something that I don’t agree with. In every case, one has to decide whether the pros outweigh the cons.

As far as the theory that he’s just a flash in the pan who will drop out once he gets bored, I don’t believe that to be the case, but I guess we’ll see.

Why do you believe Trump would do anything about it?

He says a lot of things.

But don’t you understand?? That’s “Old Trump!” “New Trump” is the second coming of Reagan! We’re expected to expunge all memories of liberal “Old Trump” from our minds because .. as one FR Trumpette said yesterday.. “we have no hope without Trump!”

Why do you believe Trump would do anything about it?

The financial and personal damages he's taken and has not backed down to apologize, but only doubled down. He'll also be spending millions of his own cash, on top of the loss in business he will receive, to do it.

That told me everything I needed to know.

“I forgot about this. I was furious at Trump for those comments. I wonder if he still feels the same way?”

If there’s a money-making deal of some kind on the table involving someone opposed to Pam Geller... no.. he doesn’t.

Doing exactly what the thugs demand you not do is morally correct and required of a free people.

Geller is a hero on this issue.

Trump failed big time. His remarks reinforce the Jihadists' encroachment on our freedoms, and echo the awful mantra of "COEXIST" (AKA "Please Kill Me Last") uttered daily by liberals and others who approach Islam on their knees..

The fact Trump opposes property rights is a huge turn-off for me. He strongly supported the Kelo decision.

That’s a wonderful cartoon. Encapsulates the issue. Sad that so many in the West are willing to throw away our freedoms.

You mean like when he said the Confederate flag should be banned and Mexicans are fabulous and hardworking? Face it Trump is as P.C. As any of them.

Sounds like The Donald lost his train of thought there.

Wow, what twisting logic Trump supporters will go to. Offending Muslims is morally wrong, but saying Mexicans are rapists is fine. Oh, but he was only talking about illegals, even though he never used it. Trump is the only one who talks tough. Except when he’s wiping out about Muslims. He’s a liberal so his supporters will defend anything he says, right up until the time he stabs them in the back.Meanwhile they will attack any loyal conservative.
