Scott Walker stumbled over his own prior comments Wednesday, saying that when he called on the Boy Scouts to reinstate a ban on gay leaders because it protected children, he meant the ban protected them from media scrutiny.
The protection was not a physical protection, Walker said Wednesday at an event in South Carolina, according to The New York Times. Rather, the Wisconsin governor continued, he was referring to protecting them from being involved in the very thing youre talking about right now, the political and media discussion about it, instead of just focusing on what Scouts is about, which is about camping and citizenship and things of that nature.

Nonsense. It’s a set up and you can’t win this one. Walker has to walk a fine line. He manages right, while he talks soft-right-moderate. His actions speak louder than his words. He’s a proven commodity.
LOL
Guess his family of libs got to him. What a pussy!
I don’t trust Walker. He got attention with his anti-illegal stand...
What an incredible pu$$y.
“Homosexuals make up only about two percent of the population. Why is everyone so terrified of them?”
I have been asking that question for years now and have yet to get an answer.
So if it’s now ok for gay men to be Boy Scout leaders, does that mean it’s ok for straight men to be Girl Scout leaders? Or is this just another thing only gays get a pass on?
The number of sympathizers is far beyond the 2 percent core of activists. Many see it as part of "sexual freedom", like the support the ill-informed American people through their election choices have long given to the abortion industry.
Is it that tough Scott...there is nothing clean about sodomy and nothing ‘morally straight’ about those who promote it.
Too busy calling Cruz a homosexual.
The problem is his stupid, left-wing pro-gay “rights” wife. Eric Cantor also has a lib-Dem wife, and does Ted Olson (Barbara spinning in her grave). It never, ever works out.
Physical protection of the young boys IS the point!
Walker - he's out. The last thing this country needs is another politically correct coward. He's throwing the little boys into the lions den in exchange for the friggen homosexual vote!!!
Very sad. Walker was my Number 2, after Cruz, but OBVIOUSLY he’s not cut out for the big leagues.
He’s very similar to Perry - a governor that did great things in his state (usually by accident in Perry’s case, but not Walker’s case) but really didn’t have his positions hammered out before going for the top job.
In this case, you either accept the fact that people of a certain lifestyle ‘enjoy’ young kids, or you don’t. For Walker, he appeared to, at first, “get it”, but then SOMEONE (maybe a phone call from Karl Rove, who knows) told him he was not being ‘inclusive’ by calling a spade a spade, and rather than telling that person to shove it, Walker did as instructed, and made a TOTAL ASS of himself in the process.
Sad to see him implode this early, but better now than later...his votes will go to people better prepared.
“Can’t help but wonder if he’s the Chamber of Commerce guy. JMHO”
It does appear that Walker is next on their list. Very sad for him - he seemed like a decent guy, when he was allowed to be himself.
Guys like Santorum, Graham, and Pataki run for POTUS just to get hotel points and FF miles.
Walker is slightly more expensive but still dancing to the oligarch tune.
Plus his campaign allowing him to look like a wannabee Hells Angels prospect that they wouldn't even bother to assault proves that he has A LOT OF WORK TO DO.
Has done great work and fights, but no charisma to date in the campaign.
Not wanting to piss off his oligarch donors?
Time to choose.
To be fair, Governor Walker didn’t say that Mr. Soetro was a Christian: he said he didn’t know.
That was my reaction as well. Protect the children from media scrutiny?? Walker was obviously desperate to avoid the wrath of the Gaystapo. His lack of backbone will doom his candidacy especially with firebrands like Cruz and Trump willing to call a spade a spade.
Loser.
