Conservative scribe Dinesh DSouza has to perform a lot more community service for breaking campaign-finance laws than he thought, with a federal judge saying Monday that DSouza has to do eight hours each week for the entire five years hes on probation and not just the eight months he was confined to a halfway house.
The judge also read aloud a report from a court-appointed psychologist who called DSouza arrogant and intolerant of others feelings.
Powerhouse defense attorney Ben Brafman was surprised when Manhattan federal court Judge Richard Berman clarified the sentence he handed down after DSouza pleaded guilty last year, which means DSouza will have to do over 1,600 hours more service than he initially thought.
Were talking about five years of eight hours a week? This is a very serious impediment to obtaining full-time employment because you miss one day of work a week, Brafman said in the conference inside Bermans robing room, as DSouza listened in silently via speakerphone.
In my mind it was never contemplated that the eight hours only applied to the period of home confinement, Berman said, later reading out a report from a psychologist who saw DSouza and then ordering him to continue attending weekly sessions.
The client tends to deny problems and isnt very introspective, the psychiatrist wrote. The client tends to deny problems and is arrogant and intolerant of others feelings.
DSouza the maker of the anti-President Obama film 2016: Obamas America did hear some good news during the proceeding.

In the meantime ‘arrogant’ Lois Lerner not only does not need to do community service, she gets to enjoy her 6 figure a year retirement.
Political prisoner.
Just move to SF and give’m the finger Dinesh.
RE: persistant attempts to force D’Souza into psychological counseling
In the Soviet Union and Communist China, they were called re-education camps.
BINGO.
At the same time, eight hours of volunteer work per week is not an impediment to getting a job. That is an eye-roller of an argument and gets him zero sympathy.
Millions of Americans volunteer at their churches and community organizations more than eight hours a week and still manage to hold down fulltime jobs.
RE: Just move to SF and givem the finger Dinesh.
He can’t do that because it was a FEDERAL JUDGE who made this decision. He is a prisoner of the USA under Obama.
I don’t get it, what did he do?????
He opposed the Leviathan.
RE: I dont get it, what did he do?????
He violated a law, which in my opinion is itself a violation of the First Amendment.
D’Souza was indicted on charges of making illegal political contributions to a 2012 United States Senate campaign.
On May 20, 2014, D’Souza pleaded guilty in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to a charge of using “straw donors” to make illegal political campaign donations.
You of course are aware that no matter how much you personally support a candidate for office, you are LIMITED by law from donating more than a certain amount to that person’s campaign.
D’Souza tried to go around it by asking others to donate on her behalf with the understanding that he would reimburse them for their efforts. That of course is illegal under the law.
This is blatant re-education.
This judge would have been right at home in Cambodia and Vietnam around 1975.
The Grand Inquisitor will interrogate you now, heretic.
The Soviet Union used psychiatry as a political weapon also
He didn't give $20,000 to the Clinton Foundation, he gave it to Republican Senate candidate Wendy Long instead. Long was running against the Clinton's handpicked Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand.
Just one more example of one person wearing a black robe being able to get at someone under the ‘cloth of law’. There are way to many judges in the US judicial service. However, the pay is very good and it comes from the real workers. The scenario goes from local to top federal levels. If there is ever a makeover/adjustment of government in the US such has to include changing the ‘judge’ structure bottom to top.
So what? We are surrounded with political criminals whose vagaries are ignored. This is persecution.
