....Obama heralded a historic nuclear agreement with Iran Tuesday as an opportunity for the longtime foes to move in a "new direction," while sharply warning Congress that it would be irresponsible to block the accord.

The ruling class does not like the "uppity" middle class or our Constitution which enabled the "uppity" middle class is the first place. They are always looking for ways to get around our Constitution. Every member of Congress swears to defend the Constitution, 90% of them are outright lying pigs.
He won't 'veto the veto'. He'll merely follow the agreement to the letter without congressional approval.

Otherwise, we were told, Obama would just pass it by executive order. THAT wouldn’t have been nearly as bad as this monstrosity Corker has foisted on it, giving the veneer of law.
And executive order coupled with Sen Tom Cotton’s letter requiring a treaty vote would have been sufficient to kill this 1.5 years from now.
Corker, however, saw that Cotton was right and came along and rescued the Obama initiative.
