Scott Walker addressing the crowd in Waukesha right now. Started by reminiscing about a neighbor and scoutleader who was instrumental in getting him interested in government.
He had to sign the darned budget first. Legislature had to pass it first (Fri. night). Then he had to edit it.
One thing you will notice again and again and again as we go through this upcoming 16 months of campaigning: We Walker Fans WILL NOT TROLL YOUR THREADS!
Right on!
That needed to be said. Thank you Diana.
I’m sure that the important clips will be re-run on Fox.
I totally disagree....loved every minute of this.....he has now moved into #1 for me with Cruz #2.....he was wonderful and not a teleprompter in sight....
I’m still here.
Waiting on grandson to go to the grocery store.
I thought we were leaving!
Cruz has one major failing as candidate, besides H1B visas, and that is his inability to come across as a regular guy. Smartest guy in the room? Sure. Regular guy at the gin mill? Nope. Walker at the gin mill? Absolutely. Smart? Definitely. Have no idea what you were listening to.
What a novel idea!
(I remember something a Freeper said not too long ago: some Freepers are such purists, they wouldn’t even vote for themselves ;-)
There’s ‘many a slip between cup and lip’, and I’m glad we’ve got a least two viable choices.

Excellent speech. Wish he had entered the race earlier but his groundwork in Iowa should help.
If not chosen he certainly should be considered for VP OR a cabinet post.
He young and could easily run in the future
“We Walker Fans WILL NOT TROLL YOUR THREADS!”
Well said, Diana and it bears repeating.
I agree, he did an outstanding job sans a teleprompter!
In 100% agreement!
Started out really strong but I think even a lot of GOP are gonna be sceptical about increased war in the mideast. Probably many will want someone who will look closer to home for enemies.
What objection do Walker fans have to information being provided? It is a little late to be acting purist since Walker fans have been skewering other candidates for months.
Sanctimonious must be a tough act to pull off with Brad Dayspring representing your candidate.
I liked his speech, and now I’m even more impressed, no teleprompter. He hit all the right buttons.
I think you characterized how I think about Scott. He’s a good man but looks and speaks “ordinary”. Even Cruz doesn’t gin up much excitement. These guys better take notes from trump and get aggressive and get known.
One can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time.
Hillary right now is hurting herself with the rope lines and she continually gaffes herself. We have the GOP primaries coming up and deal with them more so than Hillary for right now.
Walker is pro-TPP. He said this sitting on the back of his motorcycle at Ernst’s recent “Roast and Ride” and his words were broadcast on national TV.
Walker was recently tossed by his own party from the chair of the WEDC in Wisconsin which has been investigated way too many times and is being thoroughly investigated right now.
Walker was against ethanol subsidies before he was for them. Gotta win Iowa!
And Cruz and another person I won’t mention are the only candidates that Breitbart has a past article on who have remained totally anti-amnesty:
Calling this trolling is a mischaracterization. Using just pure Ad Homs against Walker would be trolling, but posting his record isn’t.
When Giuliani was taking flak over going after Obama’s patriotism or lack thereof, Walker said that he wasn’t sure about Obama’s commitment to America but Hot Air and other sites posted Walker’s own words a little later on when Walker said that Obama does indeed love America.
Was a relatively measured speech ...however it looked like everyone was sweating there... and he did get his supporters excited for sure.
Cruz is an exceptional politician so I don’t expect other candidates to meet that.
Trump = flash
Walker = substance.
It's a sad person that does that, and like you say: they make total fools of themselves and put a stain on all those who, like me, somewhat prefer Cruz.
They're worse than trolls.
