Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will sit down for an exclusive interview with ABC's David Muir, anchor of World News Tonight with David Muir, just one day before he is expected to announce his presidential campaign.
Portions of the interview will air Monday on Good Morning America, "World News Tonight," Nightline, and ABCNews.com. Muir will also sit down with Walkers wife, Tonette, and their two sons, Matt, 21, and Alex, 19.
Walker, 47, first gained national notoriety in 2011, when he took steps to dramatically limit the collective bargaining powers of most of the states public unions, including teachers. After successfully passing his controversial agenda, Walkers opponents gathered enough signatures to organize a recall election against the governor.

“He is for amnesty? Im not sure.”
Depends what day of the week you catch him. Hopefully we only see him on his good days.
“In other words....the same kind of Democrats that turned out to vote for Reagan vote for Walker, and for the same reasons.”
Exactly! You can bet your bottom dollar that a LOT of people that would’ve usually voted as Dems have voted for him in our state.
They just can’t talk about it for fear of Public Shaming - because the ‘Rats in our state have reigned terror down upon us for DECADES.
I can’t blame you. I still remember Perot...
Keeping WI safe from college professors. LOL!
The fact he would expend political capital and respect in a field this crowded, with no philosophical openings and no real funding opportunities available.
He should have waited.
Walker to be interviewed by David Muir of ABC prior to his announcement tomorrow.
Ping to the rest of the WI ping list. See reply #2 for explanation.
Wow! Go take a cold swim. Walker is part of the short list of folks who belong in the campaign. I prefer Cruz, but refuse to slam a good man who has proved he has Conservative values, is willing to take it to the enemy, and can survive some determined and vicious attacks. IOW, such glib slams mean one is probably not mentally qualified to slam him.
Oh come on. Lets be realistic. Scott Walker the only candidate on either side of the equation who does not have a college degree wants to be the leader of the free world. He generates all the excitement of a flea circus. Hillary Clinton will win in a landslide if this guy gets nominated.
Out of 330 million people this is the best you can come up with for President? He’s a mediocre, establishment guy similar to what we all get presented with every four years.
A college degree is really that important to you?
“A college degree is really that important to you? “
No as long the guy can read and write his name no problem lets just elect him President of the United States. Get real its not produce manager at Kroger for God’s sake. Oh wait you probably have to have a college degree to be produce manager at Kroger. :-)
>>Many have tried and failed. Have you any idea whats already been thrown at him???<<
Yes, I’ve got a very good idea of what’s been thrown at him, and how he’s come out on top nearly every time. This is still a very high risk venture on its face.
That said, I respect Walker’s political skills and I don’t really believe he would willingly walk into a potential ABC ambush, so I suspect there’s more to this than we’ve been told. For example, maybe he has a good working relationship with the reporter and has promised future access if he’s not mugged by his editors. Of course, if he’s mugged successfully, the question of future access becomes moot.
I really just don’t get it. Maybe someone else has an explanation as to why he would hang himself out like this?
Wm. F. Buckley: “I am obliged to confess I should sooner live in a society governed by the first two thousand names in the Boston telephone directory than in a society governed by the two thousand faculty members of Harvard University.”
He was a pretty smart guy who figured out that a college degree isn’t a great guide to picking a leader.
Yes its a real plus to be the only presidential candidate without a college degree. :-)
