Jonah shows himself as the classical useful idiot as defined by Lenin.

Here’s Trump blowing up the propaganda press, the rat party and the treasonous RINOs, and the idiot Jonah wants to talk about Trump’s record. That’s exactly what the Stalinist press and RINOs want is for the spotlight to be taken off their treason and perfidy. And who comes along to help the MSM? None other than the useful idiot Jonah.

There will be plenty of time later, as the primary season unfolds, to analyze Trump’s positions. In the meantime, every conservative should be celebrating the fact that Trump is exposing RINO traitors and attacking the filthy, America-hating propaganda press with great effect.

Jonah and his supporters need to get a grip on reality and stop playing the role of useful idiots.

Praise the Lord! Uncle Jonah don' come down from New York City and be givn' us po' uneducated folks an innervention! Why, we's been listenin' to that fella Trump cuz' he's been stirrin' up all kinda trouble in the Republican Party with his talkin', speakin' to our hearts, ya know? Sayin' things that no other Republican wants to say but prob'ly should be sayin'!

People are hurtin', and the GOP keeps sayin' "Jes' wait, jes' wait", but Trump, he went and kicked the beehive, sayin' things we po' folks needed ta hear!

But thank the Lord, Uncle Jonah - who knows better'n us - told us to stay away from him! Trump's a fraud, he says! So, we's jes' better stay here cozy like inside the GOPe plantation, votin' for the "R"s and keep waitin' for them to get ta fixin' things.

It'll come...it'll come.

Its sad to see J Goldberg has given up the fight and sold out to the DC slave master logic.

He appears to have attended way too many Rnc and Peggy Noonan events .

He has a defeatist mentality .

I love the fact Trump has outed Goldberg and the entire phony conservative collaborators

I can summarize this article in a few sentences: an imminently ignorable editor at NR is getting all butthurt over DT. DT did him an incredible favor by noticing the bootlicking little toad. So now he gets to spout off as if he were the martyr. This is his 15 minutes of fame.

(((Yawn))))

The only people being “played and conned” are the American people by the RINO establishment!

The American people have been played and conned by Boehner, McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Jeb Bush, McCain, Flake, and on and on its goes! Goldberg did not mention the lies and con job these idiots have and are pulling on the American people, over and over again!

The establishment RINO supporters are clearly out in full force!

Back when Jonah Goldberg first came on the scene, and began to get traction initially because of his mother’s conservative gravitas, he talked as though he believed pretty much what she did. But in a few short years he has degenerated into a combination of Karl Rove and Geraldo Rivera. I can no longer stand to listen to him. Fingernails on a chalkboard.

His first issue with Trump is about pants buying? First world troubles indeed. Yesterday, I had to use a standard kleenex since I was out of the moisturized kind. Sniff, sniff.

Generally I like Jonah Goldberg but he and the rest of the establishment pundits are wedded to the theory of career politicians. They can no more divorce themselves from that premise than a cat can stop stalking birds.

The original intent of the founding fathers was for our elected leaders to be citizen servants. Come to office for a period of time and then go back to their regular life. As did Washington and Jefferson etc.

Over time the career politician evolved into what we see today and that is IMO the root of the dilemma we face today. Elected representatives who have never done anything else in their lives except graduate law school and go into politics or government as a career

This politician class and their fellow travelers like Jonah Goldberg, Rich Lowery, Charles Krauthammer, George Will etc, etc have a vested interest in keeping the circle unbroken.

Now comes Donald Trump successful businessman, writer and TV celebrity. This is a person who is on a first name basis with the world leaders that the other GOP candidates struggle to name. This person Donald Trump has every credential to be President except for the single missing item from his resume’. He is not a career politician and he has not been schooled in the art of the political deal. He doesn’t know you are supposed to tread carefully lest you misstep and bring any type of disapproval upon yourself from your own or others. He isn’t interested in securing himself a permanent seat at the table of the uniparty and that makes him dangerous to both sides of the equation.

So Donald Trump must be smeared, scorned, vilified and basically run off the road.

I feel like a guy whose brother is being taken advantage of by a grifter. I’m watching helplessly as the con artist congratulates him for taking out a third mortgage.

Well said.

Won't be any use, though. There's a sucker born every minute, and reborn every four years.

Goldbrick and his ilk are shills for a paralyzed, palsied, pathetic Republican establishment class that is mostly motivated by a desire to preserve a privileged position in a socialist tsunami which they refused to do anything meaningful about.

For some time, the US has been subjected to an invasion of illegal aliens that neither political party has done anything about. The Democrats have done nothing because it benefits them by creating a whole new group of voters for them to bribe with free stuff, making sure they will have the ability to control the government. The Republicans have done nothing about it because it benefits certain people by driving down the cost of labor, and because to some extent, they believe (wrongly) that they can exploit this new source of votes.

Trump is right to reveal this unfortunate and evil state of affairs. Trump’s solution to this problem is the correct one. And to be honest, it is an awesome thing to see someone speak the truth about this matter. All we conservatives get from the GOP-e is a wad of mealy-mouthed BS about ‘nuance’ and ‘pragmatism’ and other drivel from the mouths of politicians coached to say those things by professional homosexual consultants. Which brings up this- what does the GOP stand for at this point? Opposition to Obamacare? Opposition to same-sex marriage? Opposition to illegal immigration? Opposition to sellout trade deals? It should be obvious at this point that the Republican party has mostly played the role of lesser Democrats on these points. If it takes a Trump candidacy at this point to force the Republicans into real opposition, so be it.

Also, it is good to see the Myth Romneys, Bushes and their ilk squirm, and try to equivocate, and still stand for nothing. Thank you for that, Donald Trump. Granted, he’s got some credibility issues. At this point, while I tend to favor Ted Cruz, I would not rule out voting for Trump. Especially if that makes some moderate nervous or fearful.

I truly, honestly, and with all my heart and mind think Donald Trump’s most ardent supporters are making a yuuuuuuge mistake. I think they are being conned and played. I feel like a guy whose brother is being taken advantage of by a grifter. I’m watching helplessly as the con artist congratulates him for taking out a third mortgage.

I think Jonah is missing the boat, or he's one of 'them'...How could Trump be conning us when all he is doing is confirming those things we already know...

No body likes Trump...No one wants Trump to be President...But we do want a President with the ideas that Trump puts forth...And right now, Trump is the mouthpiece...And what a mouthpiece...

This man (Jonah Goldberg) says what I think...and he says it extremely well.

I do not hate Donald Trump but I would not trust him to spit.
Con is his game and conned is what his believers are.
Like a stopped watch that is right twice a day he has stumbled across a truth in the illegal immigrant situation. Not because he knows the right things to say but because he will say anything and the law of averages has allowed this feat.

Anger Is Not an Argument

It's true that anger may not be an "argument", but it can be an effective weapon -- a powerful tool to employ effectively -- to advance a position -- and argument -- particularly if the opponent is angry.

One can’t support Trump for speaking the truth about illegal “immigration” and still support Cruz?

I stopped reading early on after Jonah used some very crude language. Too bad.

Three points, 1. Everybody should watch yesterday's press conference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsokVoqSOA8

The look on the faces of those victim's families was pure joy.

2. Trump kept the press in that room on a very short Leash. Watch the video as he does this.

3. Trump applauded the United States while at the same time respected other countries and people as shrewd negotiators. It was amazing to watch on this video.

This guy is truly masterful. Do not discount him. He's not leaving the political scene anytime soon. No matter how many Jona's come out of the wood work to complain.

I’m not exactly a Trump fan. That said, Trump is right. He’s turned the light on and the cockroaches are scurrying. He’s taking flak and not backing down. The only other candidate that is not backing down is Ted Cruz, and note that Trump and Cruz are not attacking each other. Could Trump be clearing a path for Cruz, even if unintentionally?
I just hope that Trump does not pull a Ross Perot.

“Conservative Heart?” That sounds so familiar. “Compassionate Conservative......” Give me a stinking break!! I think I can safely predict NO ONE will read that book. No one!!

Not surprisingly, Jonah Goldberg and the rest of the DC Republican crowd are preparing to fight the LAST war. This is, of course, a recipe for failure.

Okay, let’s stipulate that Trump is a swaggering buffoon and all his supporters fools. Yet his poll numbers steadily increase while “true conservatives” grow smaller and smaller with each passing day.

It’s a NEW day and conservatives need to adapt and learn to overcome the forces arrayed against them: A hostile news Media, a debased, electronic culture which ridicules conservatives 24/7, and a disinterested, zombie-like populace created by a diabolical Marxist education system.

Face it. We’re going to get Clinton vs. Bush unless a conservative candidate suddenly develops the charisma, the chutzpa, and the courage of a Donald Trump. Know of any?

Adapt, overcome, or go the way of the Whigs. One way or another the political featherbed in Washington DC is going to come to an end. If one looks to the horizon, the darkening storm clouds are unmistakable.

It’s amusing to hear the shills for the GOP establishment whine about how Donald Trump is destroying their party. But seriously, while Trump is waltzing merrily through the wreckage of the formerly grand old party, he didn’t create that wreckage. At most he’s bouncing some of the rubble. Make no mistake, the actual destruction was wrought by the unprincipled hacks who are now doing the loudest whining.
