Obama administration unveiled new rules Wednesday to rid the country of racially segregated neighborhoods by directing cities and towns to set goals for reducing segregation, and then regularly report their progress to the feds.
Communities nationwide will be given a series of questions designed to help them figure out whether racial bias is causing segregated neighborhoods, racial or ethnically concentrated areas of poverty, unequal access to opportunity or disproportionate housing needs in their jurisdiction. They will be required to set goals related to that data and publicly report on their progress every three to five years.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development rule is intended to prod communities to meet fair housing standards established in the Fair Housing Act of 1986, by making previously unavailable or unreliable data accessible to the public, which could then use the data as an impetus for change...

Sure, conservatives believe in diversity of thought and the marketplace of ideas. Absolutely this is gerrymandering, but this type of forced integration is also occurring in Europe. Western Judeo-Chistian heritage is being destroyed (quickly!)
Cheer up.
This coukd well be the ignitor for CW-II.
Liberals beware.
We hate, despise loathe, disdain, and hurl at you.
And we also don’t like your smell.
And, best of all, we know where your sorry little *sses live.
Bring it, Obamaholes.
Yeah.
I’m going to have to watch this issue more closely. My first thought was sneaky gerrymandering to grab more power. But perhaps it does have a two-fold goal. It is fundamentally WRONG WRONG WRONG and anti-freedom.
How did we get here?
As long as no one defies him, he is the schoolyard bully. It is time to stop turning the other cheek. Fight fire with fire. Refuse to cooperate. He wants a war, then war it be.
Deo vindice
Shove it Obama you tyrant.
Great and beautiful verse. Thanks for posting it. Bad news for us, though.
And after that will it then be your job business or property to have the same fate?
Remember the movie “Schindler List”?...remember how he got that factory?
This makes my skin crawl. Not just the Soviet-like aspect of it, but if/ when that fault unzips- the carnage.
Are 100% black or 100% mexican neighborhood considered segregated; or are only 90% white middle class neighborhoods segregated? (rich neighborhoods will presumably be exempt)
10 years ago it was unthinkable.
Today, its entirely thinkable. And I can hear half of the country - renters, section 8 housing clients, immigrants currently living 15 to a house, etc. screaming its approval while the other have cowers in silence.
“Something tells me this is a diversion.”
Something tells me this is another diversion.
The government can not dictate who lives where.
The Black Robed Tyrants would likely rule otherwise
Blacks are only 12% of the population. Does 0bama intend to scatter them far and wide across the nation making them physically face the reality of being a small minority? Somehow I don’t think black people will like this plan.
It will place immigrant populations in government housing in suburban neighborhoods.
We have already seen a bit of this in Bellingham with the state plan for early release of felons. They send them back to halfway houses in their home town. Residents of Bellingham were very vocal in their opposition to the halfway houses.
I like your page, but your statement is silly.
When Chicago (City Government) decided to build public housing, the politicians decided that only blacks could live there. Hispanic organizations sued the City, demanding that Hispanics be allowed to occupy public housing. The Hispanics lost the case. The Courts said "blacks only".
When Chicago decided to demolish some of the public housing, politicians (government) decided that "certain" black, public-housing residents, would be given Section 8 Vouchers. These vouchers were only good in certain towns (undoubtedly pre-arranged with the politicians in those towns).
During the building and rehabbing boom of the 90's, Chicago (government) demanded that any developer who wanted to build or rehab lofts in the city, would be required to give (free) a certain percentage of the units to black, public-housing residents. The Alderman in each ward was anointed with the task of choosing the residents - who were given free title to units that were selling for $250,000 and up.
Yes; government does often decide who will live where. Government even decides who will pay for it.
Here in NJ they don’t even need government housing; homeowners of single-family homes with grown children put in illegal apartments for help with their huge property tax bills, while owners of multi-family homes want ANYONE renting from them - the state is bleeding Americans. A lot of housing construction has stopped, and there is still a surplus of foreclosures and such.
There is just no incentive for young people to stay here, and if they do, they will probably remain childless - and thus don’t need to buy a home.
None of which makes it right.
And to focus my remark further: the federal government in particular can not dictate where who shall live where. If they do they are acting illegitimately.
Of course it's wrong. But it's what they do, and it's what they will continue to do.
If they do they are acting illegitimately
I think that's one of the Regime's mottoes: "Acting illegitimately since January 2009".
And... they are proud of it.
But they're still going to put Section 8 housing in your neighborhood, and import low-life Democrats to live there.
They've already done it in my neighborhood.
