Self-proclaimed 'long lost brothers' George W. Bush and Bill Clinton shared a stage in a rare joint appearance in Texas on Thursday - to claim the current presidential campaign between their family members will be conducted with respect.
The two former presidents - who have become friends in their retirement despite being from opposing parties - spoke about the contest that has seen Bill's wife Hillary seek the Democratic nomination and George's brother Jeb go after the Republican one.
Both men told the audience they wanted the campaign to be more focused on the issues facing America and less on political point-scoring.

I don’t have much respect for the Bushes being such pals with scumbags like the Clintons. Does Bush not know anything about the dirty cash coming into that foundation, enriching the Clintons as countries have bought perceived favoritism? Is he that naive? Does he believe the Clintons lies and cover up. Corruption at it’s worst, not being investigated at all and W is his best friend. It kind of disgusts me.

I believe the group of Bushbots on this site has been diminishing. I’ve been candid in my view of GW Bush - he talked a good game but his actions as President were awful - No Child Left Behind, the Iraq War, mad overspending, new federal programs, Common Core. There is very little in his record to distinguish him (or his even worse brother, Jeb) from the Dems or the Clintons.
Let ‘em pack each others sand.
Please George, Stop now! I’ve cut you all of the slack I can. You got a raw deal on 9/11 but don’t suck up to the serial offender. Please America stay out of da bushes. Elect Ted Cruz and let the other 22 candidates jockey for cabinet positions.
I though Bill Clinton and Bill Cosby would make a more compatible team.

Fact.....George HW lost....enabling Bill to win
Then George W wins (because we thought we were getting an AntiBill and were estatic!)....
.....but got shafted again
Then George tries to give our country away to illegals (2007) and also the disasatrous NAFTA bill, plus more....
.....and later we find out the Bushes and Clintons are and were quite chummy with each other......gee, almost like brothers, or as HW said.....family!
....and many conservatives were fed up......not trusting anyone...not voting either, some
....and we get Obama.....to finalize our fall
No wonder we’re glomming on to Donald Trump.....

Long ago I realized most of that behavior is about as genuine as “World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).”
Well, that shouldn't be too hard, since there's not much policy daylight between Jeb and The Press Ropin' Cowgirl. If Jeb put on a garish pantsuit, gained thirty lbs. and waddled like a duck, you wouldn't be able to tell him apart from Hillary.
I wonder what we’ll hear from those who advocate “vote for any republican candidate or Hillary thanks you.”
Maybe they want a Hillary/Jeb ticket. I will not vote for Jeb period. I’m so tired of these two families.
The klintons have attacked the Bush family plenty.
But the fact that they are close I have lost all respect for them.

Conservatives, as a whole, have trusting, patriotic hearts....
They aren’t easily led......and they put all effort into helping someone who they believe will lead our country to integrity again.....like Reagan.

What I’m witnessing with Trump is a ray of hope......
he doesn’t need to go out there and do this....
he could rest on his laurels and fame till the sun sets
However he is putting himself out there, and getting hit every single day....

I think we need to cry out for mercy.....ask God to open our eyes to see what we need to see.....and give us wisdom.
