...so an illegal alien kills someone and that prompts a crackdown on guns?

Typical.

I see the usual RINOs in the Senate (Toomey) and House (King) can be counted on to push this garbage.

Next up? Mandatory registration. BTW, why do they need serial numbers when you get your background check?

There’s no specific information about the bill there. Something is being hidden from voters.

The Rats used the “interstate commerce clause” as giving them the power to regulate gun sales over state lines. So if I am selling a gun to my neighbor or giving it to my son, how can they claim that is interstate commerce?

H.R.1217 - Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act of 2015
SEC. 107. Clarification that submission of mental health records to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System is not prohibited by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Information collected under section 102(c)(3) of the NICS Improvement Amendments Act of 2007 (18 U.S.C. 922 note) to assist the Attorney General in enforcing section 922(g)(4) of title 18, United States Code, shall not be subject to the regulations promulgated under section 264(c) of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (42 U.S.C. 1320d–2 note).

[And it appears that anyone determined by "the Secretary" to be "mentally incompetent for certain purposes" is allowed to request an "administrative review."]

“(t)(1) Beginning on the date that is 180 days after the date of enactment of this subsection and except as provided in paragraph (2), it shall be unlawful for any person other than a licensed dealer, licensed manufacturer, or licensed importer to complete the transfer of a firearm to any other person who is not licensed under this chapter,...

[Looks like that would apply to everyone.]

I’m sure that there’s more in that bill that I didn’t see—maybe something much more nefarious.

I only read parts of it very quickly. Here’s the link.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/1217/text#toc-H6AD396FD736946909B4D2AF42F6783CF

Another site should also be checked frequently for more up-to-date information (thomas.loc.gov) and even more nefarious moves by the gun control politicians. There will be big money and a big push behind them.

Most Americans would just ignore them. It’s not just invasive and stupid—their flagrant law breaking breeds disrespect for the law.

Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act

ROTFLMAO! Who do these f-----g totalitarians think they're kidding?

They want to require private sales to undergo a background check! It's ludicrous on its face, a bad idea for obvious reasons, and is a clear attempt to register all guns and record all transactions.

The public safety benefit is so miniscule as to be nonexistent! Any convicted felon who wants to buy a gun illegally can easily do so by transacting with another felon.

Yet, if some woman who is being threatened by her boyfriend decides she needs a gun for protection, the person selling or loaning her the gun is supposed to do a federal background check? With a waiting period as well, no doubt! At their own expense, of course! F-----g ridiculous!

The behavior of these Democrats and RINOs is shameful, and their motives are transparently totalitarian.

They can go to Hell, each and every one of them, if they want to enable the State to engage in such Tyranny.

Did everybody read what former CNN anchor Lynne Russell had to say to the gun control crowd after some thug tried to jack them? Said thug ended up dead, and Mrs. Russel and her husband would be ones who were dead if the gun controllers had their way.

The left-wing gun control crowd has a choice:

  1. Let their Tyrannical bullshit Orwellian wet dream bite the dust.
  2. Be prepared to fight a bloody Civil War to implement said Tyrannical bullshit. And this Civil War would make the previous Civil War look like a day in the park.
Those are their choices, and there is no middle ground.
