Jimmy Carter: ‘I Believe Jesus Would Approve Gay Marriage’

“I believe Jesus would,” Carter said when asked whether Jesus would approve of gay marriage. “I don’t have any verse in scripture ... I believe that Jesus would approve gay marriage, but that's just my own personal belief. I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else, and I don't see that gay marriage damages anyone else."

Carter, a born-again Christian and Baptist, said he still teaches Sunday school whenever he attends his home church. He. said he has never ran across “any really serious conflicts” between his political obligations and his religious faith.

There is indeed plenty of scripture where marriage is defined if he would care to read it, including Matthew 19: 4-6.

Absolutely correct! Jesus was a Jew. An OBSERVANT Jew, faithfully obeying the Laws of Moses and the Prophets. He would have interacted with homosexuals as with any sinner but couldn’t have condoned their lifestyle. As such He did not attend ANY event, ceremony, or celebration which would have given justification or legitimacy to such a lifestyle. Now I must admit that on the flip side, after having given them the Good News and they having rejected it, He did not harass or badger them but merely said ‘Your sins and guilt are now your own’. Then He LEFT THEM ALONE.

Let start at the beginning... the Old Testament (before Christ was born...)

Gen 19:5 Bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

Lev 18:22 Thou shalt not lie down with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Deut 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.

Then here is what is recorded after He was born...

Rom 1:27 And likewise also men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that whch is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

1 Cor 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind...

NOTHING in the Bible says anything about homosexuality, or ‘gay marriage’, being all right. ALL references to homosexuality are negative and punishable with death by stoning. Any minister attempting to mislead his parish risks his eternal salvation. The Lord was big on the scribes and pharasees misleading His people and what their punishment would be.

John 1:1-16 make it VERY CLEAR that JESUS is also the GOD of the Old Testament, too.
So Carter needs to read again:

Mr. "PEANUT" can read again Romans 1:18-32:

" who KNOWING THE JUDGEMENTS OF GOD,
that THEY which commit such things ARE WORTHY OF DEATH,

but HAVE PLEASURE IN THEM that DO them. "

Also the BIBLE makes it PRETTY CLEAR, what JESUS SAID, COMMANDED, and also,

what WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO !

Yes indeed....all this other “stuff” LGBT throws out there, from being born as one, to gender identity disorder, and all the “other” reasons promoted are simply an escape from what they actually are...sexual deviants with a propensity for exhibitionism, ALL centered around sex and the next encounter they can have. I knew Campolo was off his rocker when he suggested big government can do charity for us. Now I know he is toast. At least Wikepedia is honest and calls him a liberal Christian.
