Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) says the 1st Amendments religious liberty protections dont apply to individuals. On MSNBC last week, Wisconsins junior Senator claimed that the Constitutions protection of the free exercise of religion extends only to religious institutions, and that individuals do not have a right to the free exercise of their own religion.

And I guess the Freedom of Speech only applies to the media?

This mental giant Tammy Baldwin needs a refresher course in a high school government class.

I just lost a lot of respect for Smith College and the University of Wisconsin Law School. Why am I not surprised by:
[She is] the first openly gay U.S. Senator in history. As of 2012, Baldwin's voting record makes her one of the most liberal members of Congress.
Seems like trampling religious freedoms is the liberal agenda now that 5 really stupid lawyers says anyone can marry anything.

Same argument is used for the 2nd amendment.
Guns are only to be possessed by government militias. They don’t get the ancient use of the word “regulated” means trained. The FedGov is supposed to be paying for and providing all citizens with range time.

I just read that she’s openly gay. Explains her hate for religion. She knows her fate.

She knows nothing of the history of the amendment, nor of the Protestant tradition, which is individualistic.

The individual is born with the freedom of religion. The 1st amendment prohibits congress from establishing a religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

She's referring to the First Amendment to the Venusian Constitution. The Constitution of the United States has a similar amendment that assuredly DOES apply to individuals. I don't construe anything in "or prohibit the free exercise thereof" to mean "unless the entity exercising is an individual."
But then I'm not a liberal who can conjure up rights out of whole cloth and make words mean things they don't and other words mean nothing.

Seriously, this person should be removed from office. A statement like that should disqualify a person from being a US Senator.
