In our lovely little burg, that has a no fireworks sold or shot in city ordinance, it sounded like Beirut in the 80s. A thick pall of gunpowder smoke hung ove the city, and, of course, there were hundreds of gunshots in addition to the thousands of fireworks. Gangs have neighborhoods where they are happy to provide the combustibles and this went on till 3 a.m.

I live in a Cincinnati suburb and won’t go downtown — for any reason. Can’t imagine what it is going to be like next week with all the people here for the All Star Game.
