CNNs State of the Union panel ripped former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her campaign Sunday one day after staffers corralled the press behind a rope as Clinton walked in a Fourth of July parade in New Hampshire.
The panel consisting of CNN contributors S.E. Cupp and Van Jones, The Wall Street Journals Carol Lee, and CNN political reporter Jeff Zeleny roasted Clintons rope line, with Jones calling it the worst visual metaphor for her campaign.
This is humiliating for reporters who have to abide by Hillary Clintons rules of journalism, Cupp told host Jake Tapper. And its not just this. I mean, the entire campaign, she has kept them at a distance, she barely answers questions, theres all these rules. And actually I dont blame her, I blame reporters who put up with this. The second they decide were not doing this anymore, were not going to cover your glossy events the way you want it, then shell be forced to change this behavior.

I was a reporter for years. Believe me when I say that the publishers have very comfortable relationships with party leaders from the local level to the DC level. And if a paper wants access, thy abide by ‘agreements’.
Agreements like doing what they are told or losing all future assess to pols while their competition gets it.
And it’s legal because no one publication is ‘the press’. So access is given. Just not to those they deem unworthy. Or ‘resistive’.
So called journalists get very upset when *their* ox gets gored. LOL
Hillary has to keep the media away to prevent herself from saying something stupid.
Kudos to the lone wolf sheepdog pulling patriotic duty on this particular day/stop.

“Funny, they are concerned about a rope line, but not by the leash connected to their nose rings.”
They don’t realize that, once she’s elected, the rope will go around their necks!
Any camera crew honestly covering Hillary’s campaign would show the lack of enthusiasm of those listening to her speeches. And they would also report on the meager attendance at her events.
The media is actually doing Hillary a favor today by focusing on the humiliating ropes they had to deal with yesterday instead of focusing on the humiliating fact that Hillary attracted so few people to a major holiday event.
and what the hell did they do to draw such a crappy assignment?
If you think she can get away with “roping off the press,” just think how, as president, she would “rope off the citizens and the Congress.”

“Then we’ll finally find out if its ‘Boxers or Briefs”.
Sensible panties or thongs? And a steel corset.
Recall that it was hubby Willie J who first instituted a security cordon to isolate the WH from its owners.
It’s a patriotic rope to rein in the freedom of the press for Independence Day.
Sarcasm at its finest, most wittiest.
It’s the Clinton Rope-a-Dope.
“Recall that it was hubby Willie J who first instituted a security cordon to isolate the WH from its owners.”
All wannabe dictators use the same control devices. I never thought I’d live to see the day when a modern day Evita Peron actually had a chance to be our president.
