About 11:55 p.m., a 7-year-old boy was killed and a 26-year-old woman was injured in a shooting in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, police said.

Just black racists killing more blacks because blacks lives do not really matter.
I wasn’t aware Sh!tcago was full of Confederate flags and raving Klansmen. Silly me!
They should bring in some outside talent to do their shootings.
So very sad.
BTW, why is a 7-year-old even out of bed, let alone, on a city street, at that hour? His parents put him in danger.
Yes, his parents put him in danger.
Up here in Milwaukee, we beat Chicago’s death total, four were shot and killed. We had fewer wounded, only 3 or 4, uncertain as our paper only focuses on the death count which is double last year as of this date. The paper & our police chief have no reasons for the increase, or they are not talking about the reason.
Talk about a FRee FiRe ZoNe!!!
“Hey, let’s take the kids and go celebrate the 4th by walking around at night on the streets of Chicago!”
LOL, in Chicago?
I'd have my kids barricaded behind AR500 steel plates until I managed to get my crap together enough to get them the hell away from there.
But then again, I care about my kids.
Well I had my GPS system and thought I'd impress my relative by beating him back to his house by using my GPS to avoid the clogged highways and stay on backroads.
Bad idea. My wife and I were taken through neighborhoods where we were literally in fear of our lives should we run out of gas or break down. Now I've been through the worst parts of NYC such as Fordham, Hunts Point and Brownsville but those places are quiet suburbs compared to what I drove through in parts of Chicago.
Chicago is a nice place to visit if you stick to the downtown area and the tourist spots but stick to the major roads - even if they are clogged with traffic. Finding shortcuts is just not worth it.
I’ll bet you went west on Madison thinking you’d beat traffic one the Eisenhower. I tried that trick.
Once.

Chants of “black lives matter” in 5....4...3..... Or not.
If that was the nightly news casualty rate in the mideast, why hell, the lib handwringers would declare it lost and quagmire.
But its a footnote in the Chi town papers.
Self-genocide continues apace...
Actually, three dead, 27 wounded.
Chicago must have the world's best trauma surgeons. That's one thing they've got going for them.
My buddy was an anesthesiologist in the Navy in San Diego in the ‘80s. They sent him and a bunch of other doctors to LA for trauma training, particularly gunshot wounds and blunt-object head wounds.
He says they got pretty good pretty fast, and while they tried their best, they didn’t feel too badly if one got away. He said it was much better than practicing on pigs, but there wasn’t the pressure of working on military wounded.
