Sen. Ted Cruz shut down Univision anchor and Fusion TV host Jorge Ramos on illegal immigration, by turning a gotcha question around into a gotcha answer, and giving the host a lesson on the rule of law.
“I think rule of law matters,” the Texas Republican said on Tuesday’s edition of Fusion TV’s “America with Jorge Ramos.”
After the two volleyed the immigration issue back and forth, presidential candidate Cruz asked Ramos — an open advocate of legalizing the millions of illegals currently in the country — what happens to an American who crossed illegally into Mexico.
When Ramos admitted that Mexican authorities said the American would be deported, Cruz slammed the ball for the win.
“So why should the United States not enforce our laws?” Cruz asked.
Ramos talked, but never answered the question.

He didn’t answer because in this country a liberal’s opinion and promise of a vote suffices for what is law.
In other words, laws don’t matter if the intent, feeling, dreams and wishes of people superfluous to peace, productivity and prosperity are involved - as long as they can vote.
...now THATS gonna leave a mark.
And WTF? That Ramos character is one rude sumbitch, not to mention too dumb to debate Cruz.
If you go back over the hundred years and look at debates...from either party...Cruz will be some one-of-a-kind guy that will sweep every single debate. With Trump standing there....I think Bush is pretty much finished off by the Iowa primary deal.
Maybe Ramos should put some ice on that.
Agreed. To Liberals, the rule of law means nothing. For them, rules are made to be broken, not followed.
At its core, it’s an operative definition of a Liberal - someone who is unable to follow the law or authority.
Cruz should’ve asked Ramos why blue eyed Mexicans like him are so anxious to export all of their little brown ones to the USA.
No doubt about it! It's going to be delicious to watch the dems and gopes squirm. Ted will gig 'em and gut 'em!

I watched this, Ramos hyperventilated, started stuttering, and hissing like a snake.
Very simple isn’t it? No racism, just the law that we have a border and they have a border but theirs is enforced and ours is not.
The law that permits abortion is followed just like the other laws we hate but can’t muster the will or ability to change.
But this administration chooses to NOT enforce the laws they have sworn to uphold.
I am just speechless at how americans have allowed this to go on.
Imagine what our daily existence would be like if every major decision (and even petty TMZ like ones) were decided by a compilation of votes from texting to #whatsyourwhimsy?

That’s the way to do it. Ramos couldn’t answer without being shown what hypocrites he and the rest of the pro-amnesty crowd are. Ramos and his ilk are saying: “Don’t invade my country of Mexico but you need to turn a blind eye, and let my countrymen invade the United States.” That’s what it all boils down to and yet too many on our side are afraid to confront this issue.
I hope so...I don't dislike the guy, but there is NO WAY I am voting for him or anyone who thinks like him.
If Bush becomes the nominee...which means that Clinton will win, the country is gone. Liberty will have been extinguished.
Cruz’ big trick... he debates objectively not subjectively and is able to fact check the interviewer or opponents’ sources firmly and instantly sighting sources.
The MSM always rely on springing opinion as fact from questionable sources, then act offended and indignant when their sources are questioned - which is why the rebuttal must be firm and accurate - Ted does this in his sleep.
The Katie Couric interview was a perfect example.
She asserted the NASA, 97% of climate scientists and even the Pope (yea, the Pope) believe in climate change why not you Ted? Ted sighted the report she was quoting from had been discredited - Katie out of reflex started to defend the report but then as quickly backed away. Ted made Katie look like the fraud she is.
That is why the debates will be very limited. The Left controls the debates.
This was the best of the weak and no one heard it due to Trump.
I want to like Ted but he threw me with his TPA position... it was all for it with some lame made up junk that could have just as easily come from the white hut and then he does not vote for it.
I wonder, based on that display, what his real convictions are?
Country is already gone. Cruz would clean everyone’s clock yet America is given over to immorality and therefore unable to vote him in. Only a spiritual revival is our hope. Without it America done.
Somebody needs to put together a cartoon of the trophy room at Cruz’s house, with a wall full of plaques with the heads of the news readers who’ve had their asses handed back to them by Senator Ted.
