With the fascist left on a fascist rampage, why not add a little defiance to your 4th of July by watching five patriotic movies that piss off The Man. The Man of course being the dominant Left-wing political culture that is currently banning The Dukes of Hazzard and hoping to get its tyrannical hands on Gone With the Wind.
The Green Berets (1968)
Because he loved America and freedom and didnt want to see either lose a vitally important war, John Wayne spent a lot of his movie star capital directing and starring in The Green Berets for Warner Brothers. Critics blistered him in ways unseen until Mel Gibson dared bring the Gospels to life in The Passion of the Christ. Audiences, however, showed up in droves, and were treated to a marginal but entertaining movie, and most importantly, a prophetic one.
In the film, Wayne predicts that if the Left wins and America abandons Vietnam, other countries will fall to communist tyranny, and our Vietnamese allies will be murdered and tortured.
And that is exactly what happened.
John Wayne was 100% correct, he had their number, and that makes the Left angrier than anything.
BONUS: Watch racist George Takei sell his left-wing soul for a small role in a right-wing propaganda film.

It defies the conventional wisdom that the left would have us believe actually happened in Vietnam.
Well...as cinema, The Green Berets...uh...stinks.
Honestly, my biggest regret of that war is that Jane Fonda wasn’t lined up in front of a ditch, covered over, and forgotten about just like all the Vietnamese who actually did have to pay that penalty instead of her.
If there is a hell, she’s on the slow track to it. Darn it.
Jane will get to shake hands with the Devil soon enough.Right after that, she can shake Teddy’s.
What about “Lone Survivor”?
Saw that a couple of weekends ago and loved it. Not as good as “American Sniper”, but still showed American soldiers at their bravest.
It maybe wasn’t a good picture but it saved lives in Iraq. My son and a buddy were walking to the chow hall and saw an Iraqi soldier pacing off the distance. They had mortar attacks all the time. My son knew immediately what was going on thanks to the movie. The police got the guy, stopping a potential accurate attack.
Works for me...
She’ll never see Mary Jo though. Perfect for Mary Jo.
Try the early Viet Nam movie with Burt Lancaster, “Go tell the Spartans”, I was told by a career officer back in the late 70’s that it was as close as to what was happening during the earlier days before the massive influx of GIs.
Do Dinish D’Souza’s documentaries count?
Add Max the Dog movie to the list!

NO RETREAT!! HOLD THE LINE!!! PUSH FORWARD!!!!
Bayonets. Gotta have ‘em.
I still tear up evertyime I watch that scene.
I’m sure the libtards hate Drums Along the Mohawk and The Patriot, and Gettysburg as well.. all movies I’ll be watching this weekend.
I really liked that movie — up until the point where the director has the Rough Riders murder a prisoner.
“I was told by a career officer back in the late 70s that it was as close as to what was happening during the earlier days”.
Probably the best depiction of the early days in Vietnam. My uncle was there with the Army Corps of Engineers in 1962. He told me the same thing.
Lancaster isn’t wearing a Ridgeway cap, The baseball caps came toward the end of the 60’s. In 64 we were still wearing hard sided cap with the flat top.
