Recently I've been hearing a lot of conservatives saying things like, "It's over. The left has won. This is no longer America. I'm not even going to celebrate the Fourth of July this year." I confess this disturbs me. I expect feminists to squeal like hysterical little girls.
Second Kings, Chapter 6, contains one of my favorite Bible stories. The King of Aram (which was more or less Syria) is waging war against Israel. But every time he sets up an ambush, the prophet Elisha tips off the Israelites and they get away. Because Elisha is a prophet! So he knows what the Syrians are planning. Mightily ticked off, the Syrian king decides to take Elisha out. So he sends his army to surround the city of Dothan where Elisha is staying.
The next morning, Elisha’s servant steps outside, looks up and sees that the city is surrounded by Syrian horses and chariots. Panicked, he cries out to Elisha, “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?”
The prophet answers calmly, “Don’t be afraid. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
He then prays that the servant’s eyes will be opened — and when the servant looks again, he sees that the hills are filled with horses and chariots of fire.

I expect Social Justice Warriors to act like small boys who pretend to be heroes against imaginary enemies then run away from actual danger.
I expect conservatives to act like men and women — men and women who understand they are part of a fight for liberty that began when Moses killed the Egyptian slavedriver and will not end until Jesus comes again.
Open your eyes. The hills are filled with chariots of fire. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.

I’ve been fighting all of this for years. Yes, I’ve given up. Decades of liberal control of media and education has brought us to where we are. Keep your powder dry.
Sorry, this country is not the Kingdom of God. It was an experiment that worked well for a long time and through many struggles. I think we have reached the end now. No firecrackers here.

All I can say is this is no longer America. I’m not even going to celebrate the Fourth of July this year.
C’mon..., my allegiance is to Christ. This nation firmly belongs to Satan, now. I’ll have my family over for a BBQ tomorrow, but it’s an excuse to get my family together. There’s no longer any real Independence to celebrate.
My recommendation— those who really wish to celebrate should start calling July 4th Resistance Day or New Revolution Day....

Same here. I’ve been fighting the fight since they started attacking Reagan.
But I have valuable skills in a critical infrastructure industry. Once the communists take over, they’ll need me but you know who they won’t need anymore? Agitators, useless eaters, lifelong criminals, and people who contribute nothing. It won’t be long after the “glorious worker’s revolution” that the Party will send all of those loyal Dem voters off to the work farms and salt mines where they will work or die.

The fruits of defeatism are surrender, submission, inferiority and ultimately slavery. If anyone on these forums isn’t man (or woman) enough to fight back and to keep fighting even when things look bleak, you should have the common decency to stay out of the way of the ones that are.

Did the USA Give Up when the British decided to enforce the King’s Orders against the rights of British Subjects since 1682 - No! Lexington and Concord was just the beginning of the USA’s War for Independence that ended in 1781 and the USA became a fledgling nation.
Did the USA give up after the fledgling nation went yet another war with Great Britain - War of 1812 - 1814, which ended in the Treaty of Ghent - No the USA lost many of the battles but won the war, and defeated the British Navy in many sea battles.
Did the uSA endure a Civil war from 1861-1865 that tore apart the country and many families became divided over the war. - This war in all aspects should have torn apart the aspiring nation of the uSA, but it was great leadership of one Abraham Lincoln whom kept the country together in the end, even though h lost his life by an assasin;s bullet.
Did the USA endure the Spanish-American war to cut and run. No it defeated the enemy - Remember the Maine!
Did the USA defeat the ruthless Hun in WWI. Yes, The Great War brought America into a new existence he waking of industrial nation like no other!
Did the USA run and hide when the Japanese nearly destroyed the US pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor. No it bounced back and changed the tide of the Pacific Theater when it dealt a significant blow at Midway. It went on to defeat the Italians, Germans and lastly the Japanese. The USA become aa world power and the japanese Military Mind yamato stated - All we have done is woken up a sleeping giant.
America will not be defeated by a mindless liberal agenda that has gotten the best of us for now.
The conservatives need to get off their fat lazy backsides and get into the trenches - run for political office at the local level, county state and federal levels and change the status quo to something this country was founded on - dedication to the US Constitution and the absolute being that God is in charge. The liberals have only woken a sleeping giant as Yamato stated about the nation.

You nailed it. Some of my fellow conservative friends try to comfort me by reminding me that God will not be defeated in the long run. Well, God is not the USA. The USA is a nation, and God never promised anyone that the USA per se would prevail.
Used to be a sea of American flags on my street around the 4th. Hardly any flags the last few years. Traditional Americans are aghast at what’s going on in this country and what gets covered in the media: from Caitlin Jenner to the Confederate flag to lynching Trump for telling the truth about illegals. Hard to feel patriotic in these times.

Nice sentiment, but you’re about to attract every disgusting surrender monkey here on FR. This thread will be infested with cowards, yellow dogs, hand-wringers and DU/Soros trolls, all insisting that America is finished and we need to surrender to 140-lb wimps so they don’t call us names.
