“I don’t care about guacamole recipes. What will you do about guns?” Piers Morgan tweets to President amid latest Internet controversy

The Internet has united for one very important cause: keeping peas out of guacamole.

President Obama joined other Americans in voicing concern on Twitter Wednesday, stating he prefers the “classic” arrangement over a green pea guacamole recipe proposed by the New York Times.

The paper’s Melissa Clark advocated putting green peas in guacamole, saying it adds “intense sweetness and a chunky texture” to the otherwise creamy dip, referencing a collaboration between ABC Cocina’s chef-owner Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his chef de cuisine Ian Coogan.

Putting peas in guacamole IS a big deal! Abomination!

Who thinks this kind of stuff up?

It was in the NY Times and became a thing on twitter yesterday. Freaking stupid ... but I guess people wanted something ‘light’ to talk about ... thus pols answered the question about peas in guacamole.

Now serious questions .... those questions tend to be disregarded.

As for peas in my guacamole ... not something I would have thought to do. But then I never thought I would like ground up chickpeas either ... but I do.

It is time to ignore this government, its laws and all the petty propaganda used to deflect questions.

Conscientious objection and nonviolence along with a complete severing of the commercial aspects of this culture by those who can refuse to participate, needs to be done to bring it to heel.

The citizens are no longer in charge and that must change rapidly.

Leave it to the NY Times to pea in your guacamole.

Just don’t let anyone convince you that hummus or falafel can be made out of any other legume and be as good ;-)

So... It was the issue of whether or not green peas should be put in guacamole that finally pushed you over the edge?

I REALLY hate it when I agree with Obama, even if it is something as trite as guacamole.

No. This is just a minor crescendo to some horrific news today that our media and government ignores. This petty, trite tyrant and his associates have led us into an unholy mess that isn’t fixable.
